  1. I always use RH. If I use a LH I have the post setup to force a M05 before and after. I also have my post setup to output M14 for face live tools and M13 for Radial. This way all live tooling is setup as CW in the control...
  2. I'm looking to purchase a solvent tank for cleaning our Cat40 Holders and ER Collets. Does anyone have a recommendation for a solvent/cleaner? I would like something that evaporates but that usually means flammable.... I was also looking at this http://www.amazon.com/SEPTLS44282251-Natural-Biodegradable-Cleaner-Degreaser/dp/B002A0FBLG But I'm afraid it will leave a residue and need to be blown off and wiped down every time. Any thoughts? Thanks, Josh-
  3. Thanks Paul! I put the following at the end of ptoolend !mi2$ Then put the following at the end of pretract and pretract0 if prv_mi2$ = 1, ptoolcheck And finally I created a post block ptoolcheck if mr2$ = 0, [ pbld, n$, "G325 Q.005 (TOOL BREAKAGE DETECTION)", e$ ] if mr2$ = 1, [ pbld, n$, "G325 Q.005 N9999 (TOOL BREAKAGE DETECTION - ABORT)", e$ ]
  4. This works but if you force a tool change it outputs it on the previous op. Let's say I'm Milling with an end mill and then I want to force a tool change and drill with an endmill but initiate tool breakage afterwards. It outputs it at the retract of both ops. It works fine if you don't force the toolchange. I couldn't get this to work by itself. I know what I'm doing is overkill but I try to make sure every scenario is covered.... Thanks guys, Josh-
  5. I have my post setup to double check the correct feeds/speeds are output for the tap. This works great for inch taps but metric I'm getting rounding errors. Here's the post line if n_tap_thds$ > 0, [ if feed <> (speed/n_tap_thds$), [if mprint(stapfeed, 1) = 1, exitpost$] #Tap Feedrate check ] So basically I convert my metric taps to inch in the tool definition. M5x0.8 To get TPI I type into the field 0.8/25.4=0.031496(pitch) 1/0.031496=31.750064(TPI) Now if I type 200RPM I get a feedrate of 6.3IPM Now when the post does its calculation: 200/6.3=31.74603175 This alarms out. How can I simplify this so it has a percentage or rounding effect in the equation? Thanks, Josh-
  6. I'm using MPMaster and I can't get the Misc.Integers to come out at the right time. I have mi2$ setup for "Tool Breakage Detection" and I want it to output in pretract. This works fine as long as there is no tool change Let's say I have 3 op's using the same tool number and I want to force a toolchange at Op3 and I also want to do tool breakage after Op3. The problem is Op2 and Op3 outputs the mi2$. For the life of me I can't figure this out! Thanks, Josh-
  7. Thanks to Deb at CNC! You have to copy the holder.mcx-5 folder to the network also! Josh-
  8. I have my tool libraries on the server. I'm assuming this is a permission issue? QC is working on it for me.
  9. So it appears I have to setup the holder in the Operation. Before it just used the dimension under the tool description. Anyway to revert back?
  10. Running X5MU1. Verify has stopped showing the holder for some reason, maybe a bad config file? I have tried it on multiple computers and its the same. Any ideas? Josh-

  12. I gave up using the Microsoft 6000 Wireless Keyboard and Mouse a long time ago due to scrolling issues. I absolutely love both the Keyboard and Mouse but when scrolling with the Mouse wheel it would only zoom out. The fix was to set it as a old 2 button Mouse.... I just bought a new one (V3.0) and in the Mouse Properties/Wheel/Vertical Scrolling there's a link that says "Identify programs that don't scroll correctly". If you click this link, then select "MasterCam X5" it will now turn off "Smooth Scrolling" and will zoom in and out like it should! Maybe CNC can fix this issue so we can use "Smooth Scrolling" but for now this works!!! Josh-
  13. If I uncheck "white background" it works fine, blue back ground. If I check "white background" it is light gray.....
  14. For some reason when I take a snapshot the background is gray, used to be white. It has nothing to do with the background color cause hats blue. This is wasting a lot of ink so any help would be appreciated. Josh-
  15. gcode, are you hoping this uses the Microsoft HID API? Or just the use of the 64Bit Driver.......

  17. I save my X+ tool list as a .docx file. Open it back up and my lathe tool icons are all mixed up. Anyone know how to fix this? Thanks, josh-
  18. I think this is an X6 feature? I remember they demoed this at the Tech Expo in Seattle last year along with the backplot/verify Machine Simulation. I'm definitely looking forward to it as the current tool library leaves alot to be desired....
  19. I would love the opportunity but unfortunately "I" don't meet "YOUR" the requirements. Josh- Fissed for Robert......
  20. Mic6, I've had the same Xform issue since X3 probably. Josh-
