  1. is it oxy free copper we machine that all the time it is way soft and wears out HSS cutters quick... we have had alot of luck with valenites 590 series mills......

  5. me personally i have found mr1 alot faster on my slow laptop, and i havent had a crash since i installed mr1....

  7. I have had MR1 crash on me, only when i try to do an open pocket tool path. I always save my mcx files to my hard drive and my usb drive, just in case.
  8. depth cuts you can tell mc your max depth of cut, as for the helical entry you can tell it pretty much any distance you want that is what is so great about mc you can tell it to do whatever you want it to do. the help files are very good at explaining what each option does as well, i have learned many things from them....

  10. I cheat, like we got some valenite 590 face mills i just modified the face mill tool file and saved it with a new name...

  13. Yes, Depending on the shape of the pocket, if it is a round pocket i use true spiral, if it is a rectangular or sqaure pocket i use constant overlap spiral.... just try some of them out verify should should show if any stock is left or not.
