We use the Mastercam High Performance Pack (Cimco) for some applications. Been having a problem losing connection to the HSM license. Now will not stay connected on any machine. Anyone else using this and having the problem?

Part does get heat treated. Tolerances are not to tight. Square base end will locate in a pocket. pointed end punching through a window in a casting. Maybe cutting off a gate. Part being cut on horizontal. I was planning milling and drilling end, then just 3d arced faces from each side.

I am working with Mastercam set to inches but I want to analyze in metric. In configuration I change the analyze unit option to metric but nothing changes. I do not want to change the start up units because I do not want to scale the part. What am I missing?

Look at the Toroid Calculator here, http://dapra.com/tech/calculators.htm This calculator shows for inserted tools but I am not sure why one could not use it for solid tools with different corner configurations. I would not reflect proper metal removal rates.

Using the 10 edge insert face mill here. Edge life is good.

I would like to cut from the bottom up on a core shape part so the tool is cutting more with the side than the bottom. Is there a way to do this with the HST tool paths other than the opti?

Here wear is used. But I have used control once in a while. Some controls will adjust the feed rate based on the cutter size when cutting circles. Maybe that is why it may be used.

I just came across this problem. None of the solutions here have worked for Me short of the registry try (I leave that to IT). Has MU3 helped this?

Thoob, I do some undercutting using the coons wire frame path because of the shape it the only one I found to work well. But is does generate a lot of code. I can send an example if You like.

Not which MFG's offer air through the spindle but it is a nice feature on the Kitamura. Kitamura also has box ways and still rapids and feeds at 1968 IMP.
