On my 5 axis routers I use a 2 flute spiral up at 18000rpm and 200-400ipm feed rate
On the 3 axis i run 24000rpm and 400-600ipm
How's that again? Unroll them? I am unfamiliar with this technique. How does one go about that. It seems as though it may come in very useful at times.
Though generally taboo, on occasion my guys on the floor will need to make a change to the program at the machine. Some times it is a simple hole location, other times, not so simple. Does anyone have, or know where I can get, a change document that has a decent way of putting what the change was, why and the end result? The more detailed the better, but simple will suffice for now. At least a starting point anyway.
Thanks in advance...
I'm with James. Mastercam is great but for the lack of Graphical Toolpath Editing. It really falls short there
But seriously, tell us more about what you are going to be doing, we can guide you in the right direction.
What was that Mike? I didn't catch it the first time...
Welcome aboard. Mike is onto it. Despite my need to bust his ba!!s a little. He is leading you in the right direction

Ron nailed it Bug. The bunch on here can come across very brutal sometimes, but it is due to their pride in what they do and their protectiveness of their livelihood. In an industry that is taking hits regularly one has to be cautious of it getting a bad name or bad rap in any way.
That being said, this is the most helpful bunch of yayhoos out there. Gladly taking time to help you out when you need it. But only if they feel you respect them and our industry.
That cost (that was never mentioned) is plenty reasonable and about what I would expect to pay for a solid and accurate post of that caliber.
Welcome aboard.
