If you wish, you can left click a point, then wheel click and that will pinpoint your exact rotation point. I attached a video showing multiple points chosen with the final one or two being ones I left clicked, then wheel clicked, to rotate, which gives an example of what you seem to be seeing.

Wherever you click on the part, with the wheel on the mouse, is the location of the rotation point. If you click off the part, somewhere in space, it rotates based on that selection.
In SIMULATION SETTINGS you have to make sure you choose "ALL"
That will recognize the current part you have on the Mastercam Screen. Any other option, like "SAME" will use what was last opened in the simulation.
In Robotmaster V5 you need to select "ALL ELEMENTS" To use the geometry on the screen. It may serve you well to click on "SELECT" and do a window selection of the part geometry you are programming to, just to make sure you are referencing the correct geo in Robotmaster
In Robotmaster V6 you need to Select "ALL" in the simulation Settings "PART" dropdown for the same reason
The tutorial video will help you do exactly what you are looking for then. As long as you have the cad file (Model, Solid geometry, whatever you wish to call it) and follow the directions in the tutorial, you will be able to set up the tool, the TCP, and it will put the info in the correct locations for you. Then when you select tool in Global Settings, you will be able to use the tool of your choice.
Once you are done with that and ready to to run simulation, be sure to select Simulation Settings from your Robotmaster toolbar and click on ALL so the Robotmaster uses the current part file, whatever it is you are cutting, in order for the simulation to only show you the part and path of what it is you programmed.

I presume that you mean adding a Tool, as in Spindle or other end of arm tooling?
It's beginning to sound like a permissions issues with Win 7. Have you gone into the security tab in the folders/files Property dialog box and verified you are allowed to make those changes with FULL CONTROL or other similar setting?
Uninstall completely and then
Delete the following folders:
C:\Program Files\Mcamx7
C:\Users\Documents\my mcamx7
C:\Users\Public\Documents\shared mcamx7
Deleted the following registry entries:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\CNC Software, Inc.\Mastercam X7
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\CNC Software, Inc.\Mastercam X7
Reboot and then do a clean install
This should do the trick
I know it seems excessive, but my experience tells me this is about the one fail safe way to ensure a clean install without issue.
Have you done the SP1 update? I ask because I had a similar issue that hasn't reappeared since SP1

We run HSK E32 toolholders in the fanuc robots and are wondering if anyone knows where we can purchase longer ones, preferably tapered that aren't Shrink Fit toolholders.
I'm not a big fan of chucking up a 2" tool into a 4-6" long extension then chucking the extension into a toolholder, if I can avoid it. Hence the reason I am asking about longer toolholders. I prefer a tapered end to allow for small spaces and such.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Royce or Komo would be a decent step up, with Komo being a more rigid and "heavy" machine. Couple that with standard Fanuc controls and they are pretty good. Stay away from Thermwood unless going with the Super 90, as that is the only semi-rigid/heavy machine they have. DMS aren't bad, as far as 5 axis go though.
As far as 5 axis routers go, they aren't too bad. Semi-rigid but a bit weird to program for if all their experience is with fanuc controls. A bit of a PIA when they break down, but not terrible. What are they cutting?
