  1. Here in Minnesota they allow no smoking in any building/place of business. My shop does have a designated smoking area outside with 2 smoke butler ashtrays and a canopy overhead to prevent us from getting soaked or snow covered. Smokers here get exactly the same breaks as all the non-smokers. However, if the owner finds butts on the ground, ANYWHERE on the property, we get a posted warning. If it happens again within 3 months, he will remove the smoking area from the property and we will only be allowed to smoke elsewhere (not company property) I have forgotten what it was like to be able to smoke indoors, let alone in the shop. Been a couple years since we could even smoke at the bar here
  2. Correct on the fit. We have used rods with an ID thread that we then screw in a T handle to. This gives the ability to pull it out easier.

  4. Actually, anyone could probably help here, but since it is in regards to programming my robots, I thought I would call Tyler out... When I post my program it reads all my feeds correctly, puts out exactly what I ask for, but it does not, I repeat, DOES NOT, put in the correct plunge rates. For example, I am milling a hole at 50mm/sec with a plunge of 25mm, but the plunge that gets posted is 6mm. Part trim is 200mm with a plunge of 100 but it posts a plunge of 6 and a feed of 200mm... X5 Robotmaster Campro are all installed. Any suggestions?
  5. That definitely cleared it up for me Supercar. Thanks

  7. Selecting the holes (circles) themselves, or the center points?

  10. Thanks guys. I will forward the info on to the Bob's!
  11. quote: Refer to the system requirements in the Mcamx3_installation_guide.PDF found in your X3 documentation folder X3 documentation folder? I am guessing that I will have to wait until I get home for that since I can't install it at all here so I have no folders for X3 at all. Just the installer.
  12. So, I am using X3 on my home system, but I can't at work because I have Windoze 2000 on the work puter. The minimum requirements have not been changed on the mastercam website to reflect this change from X2 to X3. X3 won't work on 2000, XP is the oldest.. My question is this....What should my actual Minimum system requirements be? And also, for those in the know, what would be a good system requirement? Not giant, super, uber puter, but a healthy recommendation for decent overall performance. Since we encountered this issue the Bob's are talking bout a new system for me so I figured I would ask. I have looked at the benchmark topic, but it is only somewhat helpful for me. Most important though for now is what are the actual minimum specs for X3 to function? TIA
  13. Walt. Is that a 3 axis, the FlexiCam Stealth I mean?
  14. Allstar Adhesives is good AllStar Adhesives McMaster-Carr carries some decent stuff as well.
  15. I program for 3 and 5 axis routers all the time. Granted, they are Thermwoods but they are still routers. There are quite a few guys here that use routers so I am sure you can get any help you will need. Welcome aboard
