An updated version of the ActiveReports tutorial was made available this afternoon! Please contact your Reseller for a copy.
You must have a seat of X5 MU1 to complete the tutorial.
Thank you so much for your interest and for supporting Mastercam!
Regards,
Wendy

You’re right. At this point there is no XML for maximum spindle speed. It will be addressed.
I don't know C# so I can't comment on ThRaSH's work-around.

Wendy
Whoops!
Saw your previous reply, but didn't process the meaning until after I hit that POST button. (I hate when that happens.)
What do you mean when you say SPINDLE-SPEED-MAX doesn't work? Do you get an incorrect value or no value at all?
Wendy
I'm sorry, Goodmill. I'm completely stumped. The standard Router setup sheet template prints fine for me whether I print from ActiveReports or from a PDF.
I suggest you send this issue to our Technical Support department.
Regards,
Wendy
Hi Goodmill,
Two questions:
Are you getting empty pages after every page of content or are you just getting a bunch of empty pages at the end of the report?
Are you printing directly from ActiveReports or are you saving the file to another format (such as a PDF) and printing it from there?
One suggestion:
You might just need to tweak the size of the controls (including any subreport controls) in your template. (I'm assuming that you are using a customized template.) ActiveReports is very finicky about these things---if one control is just a hair too large, it will generate an extra page.
HTH,
Wendy
Add ./ (dot forward-slash) to the beginning of the path expression in the DataField property.
There’s an issue with the X4 MU1 parser that may prevent Mastercam from writing data from a nested subreport to the XML file. The ./ command halts the parser so that Mastercam can write that data to the XML file.
This was fixed in MU2.

Wendy
Hi all,
Just to let you know, we released a tutorial on using the ActiveReports Designer to customize setup sheets. The tutorial is available from your Reseller.
Wendy
Hi,
Just wanted to let you know that we are currently working on a tutorial that will guide you through creating a setup sheet template with the ActiveReports Designer.
It will be released during the X4MU1 time frame.

Hello Nick,
To drag nested parts all you need to do is click the Move button (fourth button from the left) on the Bump nesting ribbon bar. Clicking this button will switch you out of “copy” mode and into “drag” mode. You don’t need to customize the bump nesting ribbon bar to drag nested parts.
The Customize button should only be available from the Nesting Results dialog box and only when you are nesting geometry (as opposed to toolpath nesting). It opens the Customize dialog box where you can edit nesting parameters and lock in or delete selected parts from the sheet.
On my machine, I don’t see a reference in the Help topic to the Customize button when I click the Help icon on the Bump nesting ribbon bar. The only Help topics that should reference this button are the following:
[*]Nesting results dialog box topic (under the green Additional options for geometry nesting results link on the About this dialog box tab and on the Field Definitions tab)
[*]Bump Nesting topic (under the green Locking Parts link).
If this is different on your machine, please let me know.
Thank you for choosing Mastercam!
