  1. Our brilliant IT department got me exactly what I told him not to get which was an ATI and it will run MC but it sucks! Any large file shaded almost locks up. It takes some time to rotate a part if it's shaded.
  2. Talk to Steve he has helped me do several mods to my post!
  3. You can then use the Cimco editor- transmission to send the posted program to the control directly from Mastercam if it isnt hooked to a network.
  4. No way would i use the corn cob going 1" deep. definately use the high speed method. It could easily break the graphite around the screws and throw the trode right off the fixture especially going that depth of cut and feed rate!
  5. You could try creating points along each "arc" you are trying to create then create-spline- automatic, then edit simplify. Or have you tried using create arc dynamic starting at the top of a line and creating an arc part of the way down, creating several arcs close to the existing geometry?
  6. There is a chart with speeds and feeds on the osg website for diamond coated endmills. I buy alot of diamond coated endmills from cetdirect.com- i believe they can custom grind endmills and have them diamond coated. They are not the highest quality available but very consistant with size, and do hold up relatively well.
  7. I hope they keep them, I used several swept toolpaths this morning!
  8. Great choice!! You will love it. I also have mine set up with misc. integers. If you had a laser installed you can also set up a misc int. for the different macros.
  9. You could look at getting a small 2 flute cutter made. I have made small fishtail cutters on a deckel grinder before for engraving small letters(not that small) but I would think richards micro or cutting edge tech. could custom grind them for you!
  10. I don't know of anything from MSC or J&l. We use K200 which runs about $800 per gallon or mostly another product called Rydlyme which is alot cheaper. If your looking for something from wal-mart or the grocery store i have used CLR but the machine manufacturers dont recommend using the acid based cleaners because of the effect on the resin and water quality.
  11. When you go to open the file next to the green check mark there is an options folder, open that up and make sure you turn on edge curves. it will import your solids with a wireframe and solid
  12. If it is a HSS c'bore, program it the same as a drill using the c'bore diameter as your drill size. I use drillcounterbore which has no pecks!
  13. Try DME or PCS that is where we buy most of our pins from. you can get standard sizes already hardened or soft if you need to add detail to them and heat treat after.Like they said H-13 then high 50's
  14. Hey Brad can I get a copy of that from you please?
