No canned turning. edge breaks on geometry. I can not duplicate the issue anymore!!! I can not trust MasterCam 2020, going back to 2019 for now.
I attached a simplified version of the file. I was having issues on operation 2 and 4.
Regards.

Hi,
I'm getting invalid arc warning on some of my operations in MasterCam 2020 lathe. I'm doing some OD grooving and ID turning. Never seen this in 2019.
It does some weird moves and looks like gauging my part.
Is anyone else seeing this warning in 2020 lathe?
Thank you
Our parts are 5/8 diameter by 5" long. We bought a cheap one. We need to get rid of it after this project. Our safety won't allow us to purchase a machine without UL certification.
Those are nice machines.
Thank you.
Hi,
We are looking to buy a desktop lathe for an special project.
Does anyone knows an UL or NRTL certified desktop lathe?

Thank you Colin. That was the issue. All good and running now. I wish our MasterCam dealer had a knowledgeable person like you and others that always help us out here. I get lot more help here than our dealer.
Thank you all.
Hello everyone,
I’m having hard time updating some of my posts to MasterCam 2020. The issue is when I try to associate the machine/control and post to each other in the network location. I get a warning saying “This machine does not have any valid axis combinations”.
Our posts will probably work if I use default installation folder but we cannot run our MasterCam that way. I’m working with our MasterCam dealer but so far no luck with fixing this issue.
What kind of tolerances do you hold on that machine? do you use MT products? What do you think about Okuma Multus U?
Our main concern is the accuracy of the machine. We are not a production shop and I don't need to be aggressive on my cuts.
Thank you.

I will look into WFL.
I like Okuma I think they make good machines but not sure about their support in our area. I know DMG/Mori is hard to work with in our area.
Thank you.
Hi Colin,
I know I do not like compound Y-axis. They are not accurate. We do have a couple of lathes with live tooling. 80% of our lathe work has milling feature on it. Our typical true position tolerance is .004".We are trying to remove some of the work load from our mills and If we can do some 5axis machining it's even better.
Thank you.
Hi,
We are looking to replace our big 1953 Lehmann lathe with a mill-turn machine. I’ve never ran a mill-turn machine and I need some feedback from you guys for machines and options. We are an R&D shop with a very low quantity of parts. In most cases one or two. Our main concern is the accuracy of the machine and customer service and support. Our initial selections are Mazak Integrex, Okuma Multus U, Doosan Puma MX, DMG/Mori, and Nakamura-Tome. Anyone using the MasterCam MT product? How accurate is the simulation since it is not running off of G-Codes?
Thank you in advance for all the help.
