  1. I think this is the link Barghest is talking about. www.cadcamforum.net
  2. Did anyone check out the new series Southern Chopper. Did you see the solid aluminum Cover machined with the Milwaukee Iron Logo. The machining had to be the poorest ive seen and teh guy brought it in like here it is just install it. Had Chatter marks everywhere knowing your on national television and thats what you deliver dont think they will get to much business on that one.
  3. Bow season right now. (havent gone too busy) Rifle starts after Thanksgiving. Its not too bad Season here is 75 days and you can get a buck and a doe or two does everyday. The only problem they usually weigh in around 100lbs. So you have to get alot to get enough meat.
  4. If you have more than one Fadal you can try swapping the video cards. If you have a service facility nearby call them they will usually help solve problems over the phone. Then if all else fails shoot it. (I have 5 Fadals here and am not that impressed with them)
  5. You may want to try a carbide circut board drill. Depending on the material I have had good luck with these in the past they are self centering solid carbide drills. I hope this helps...
  6. I have a post for a fadal that puts the program number in and the m30 at the end but you will have to manually input the rest if thats ok I will send it to you.
  7. Noel, Depending on if the subspindle was a aftermarket add-on or from citizen will depend on the programming. I have run a '88 F-16 with no subspindle which will program really easy on mastercam. I have not programmed any on mastercam using a subspindle so I won't be able to tell you if there is a post available or not. Does this machine have a dual turrett system that only alows the use of one turret at a time. And does the sub spindle require the use of one of these turrets to do back work. Also what are your plans for this machine small runs or large runs?
  8. Without the Manuals you may find it difficult to set-up. I would suggest contacting a citizen rep for a manual. With the subspindle you are essentially running 2 programs at once with (wait codes) so if one spindle finishes before the other it will sit idle until the two are ready to be used together. But once you get the hang of it they are incredible machines. I am familiar with the F-16, L-25 and the newer L-16's. If I can help you in any way let me know.
  9. Well it looks like even the Best has decided to save a buck or two. With the new line Starrett Exact. MADE IN CHINA.
  10. Scott, We have 5 Fadals here. We use Format 2 which in short makes programming the same as a Fanuc controller with the exception as you use a E for fixture offsets instead of G. HTH
  11. Did anyone notice this? Quote: ________________________________________ I have a post that we used for years with the dx32 contols, its well edited. I would be happy to email it to you, if you still need it. __________________________________________
  12. cadcam I don't know you but I went on to check for you and there is nothing in there that bashes you just to let you know.
  13. depending on how long the program is I would suggest the use of subprograms. If each part is set up with different fixture offsets.
  14. Hello All, I am new to the forum but do like all the useful information that this forum provides. I just wanted to help the sixties chime in a few more 7/15/68
  15. I cut alot of Alum. here for Bow Parts and Hanita Makes a great endmill for Alum. They are 3 flute Hi helix which gets the chip out of the way.
  16. I can't believe someone paid that much. When my dealer sent me a cd for the cost of the stamp with all the same information.
  17. A couple of things to check make sure that you ample space for the program we have 5 Fadal's here and from what I see everything looks corrrect in the program also check your baud rate at the control as well as at the computer your downloading from... Try this it might work
  18. Well I downloaded the demo of the mill version and the apperance alone leaves something to be desired I think I will just stick with my Mastercam. From what I checked out so far there is no user freindly options to change to suit each personal preference but you get what you pay for....
  19. Has anyone altered this post to be used on a Fadal Machining Center to output E's instead of G's Any help would be greatly appreciated.
  20. I HAVE INSURED EVERTHING IS CORRECT AND THE REVERSE OPTION STILL WILL NOT FUNCTION
  21. I know of two ways that I would do it. You can leave more on the walls to accomodate a larger radius finish tool. or on both the wall and the bottom then finish with the.380 tool. where the problem comes in is what kind of material you are cutting will depend on how much you want to leave for finish passes. It may be you want to get a different rougher. Hope this helps.
  22. Mastercam will easily do chuck to tailstock turns by changing your plunge parameters then the lead in lead out is just personal preference
  23. Can you tell me where to find the cad cam site to veiw the download
