Good day,
I'm sorry I missed the original post about coolant...But I've spent many years reserching
and using many kinds of oil + water based coolant.
I (for about 2.5 years ) have been using a Castorol Product...yes just like the motor oil.
Its called Alusol AU-39 ,a good all around coolant . All machines I've used them on
never got any smell. And the rule Is always add
coolant not water... not only for seperation ,but
the new coolant recharges the PH level and prevents bacteria ( smell ). This coolant also
has very good tramp oil rejection...and also needs to be skimmed. Most smell and bacteria
problems happen when a coolant is not skimmed
or has poor oil rejection. I've found that running coolant pump even when machine is not cutting metal keeps coolant ph high and introduces air and motion into fluid which keeps bacteria down. Generaly a coolants ph right out of the drum, properly mixed should be 9.0 to 9.5.
Bacteria and smell start when coolant sits and/or
the ph drops to or near 7.0 .

Good day,
Did you say the hole was .395 +/-.0002...?
And the parts were .395 +.0001....Seems to me
the hole should have been -.0002 +.000.
there seemed to be overlap on tolerance.
and did anyone ever tell you to make holes to
" stock on condition " nominal or below...
especialy when you are using such close tolerance....? I hope you learned something

Its not PAST the true model..It could be an Extention of the same model. I have had many
chain areas (mostly 2D )that after I chained,
I wanted to seek or use a different branch point.
Or include a larger area in an existing chain.
If thats not possible ,thats O K.
I will be the first one to admit that Mastercam
is the most interesting ( GREATest ) Software
that I've ever used. Every day I use it I learn somthing new...thats awesome.
I Just think that you should be able to edit a chain without rechaning.
What Im looking for might be something for V10
I guess by the replys that I've got that this cannot be done.
I DONT want to edit geometry... I would like to
edit chains by using existing branch points or
extending EXISTING geometry at the ends or in the middle of a complex 2d/3d surface or solid model.
Sorry for the upper case

Good Day,
I dont think its possible but I would like to be able to edit or repair contour or pocket chains.
Sometimes chains are long and complex (many branch points ). Like on surfaces or solids where 2d and 3d Machining happen. To add chain peices
at the middle or ends ... any ideas??

3. Choose Reverse. The Specify File Name to Read dialog box opens.???
4. Select an NC file to reverse-process and choose OK. The Specify File Name to Write dialog box opens.
5. Select or enter an NCI file name to write and choose OK.

Do I need an update or patch???
I just installed a new video card g-force mx200
and I can only see the cursor on the side menus
and the top menus not on the black graphics window.
Tried slowing down graphics acceleration all the way but no affect.
When faced with machining the back face of a part that did'nt lend itself to fliping the back
up in another opp ... changing the t/c plane did'nt work. the backplot looked good but "x" sign was reversed and the "y" + "z" values were reversed...and the reseller said that they have
not run across this or have a custom post for it
need help
