Good day,
Does the "g43 Z2." enter the hole or stop at the edge of the part....to save time, I would copy
+ paste from another tool, or hand
write this tool block ...the time it takes
to write this post you could have made 3
small progs...I am concidered a fast
programmer rather than exact one.
MC, most times gives me 95 to 98 %
what I need the other 2% I Jam,
just to not hear my boss say
" WHATS TAKING SO LONG "
If you want, the M0 prog you made,
Keep as a template, "Spindle part
Prog " an any time you need it
paste it in...I have hundreds
of template progs like it

Good day,
I hope my post didnt offend
Sounds like someone might have fooled with some
lines in the post??
Try another post, even if its not one you use,
and see if the same thing happens....
otherwise uninstall and reinstall MC9

good EvEn'n
-----------------------------------------
(this has occoured 4 times in the past 24 hours)
-----------------------------------------
I think thats the problem, you shouldn't
run mastercam for 24 straight hours...
Its like I went to the store at 2 in the
morning and the door was locked, and the
window said open 24 hours, then a minute
later a guy comes and unlocks the door
and goes in... I follow him in and I ask
him, I thought this store was open 24
hours,and the guy says,
Not all at one time.!!!!

Good Even'n
I know what you mean...My old boss was the
same. They all hate Computers, disks, lost
files and droped code from thin RS-232 cable
and floresent overhead lights that are too
close to thin RS-232 cables...
Jim...have A GREAT X-mas and keep driving
for that Pot-O-golD...I know I will.

Good day,
I have had simillar problem...only ,on closed contour, the ramp doesn't work correctlly.
If the end mill is 80 to 90 % smaller than
the hole size,
Ive had problem of no ramp or truncated
ramp on some circle cutting.
Tony G
Good day
Can anyone tell me what the latest
version of solid works is available
and can mc read these files or do they need
to be converted another way...having trouble
Using V9 Sp1 mill
Tony G
Good Day

and clearer graphics. Duuuude, your gettin a
DELL.

J,
Did you want the custom Pallet builders name
...or do you want pay 35 % more for Jergens
standard products. All his custom stuff
will give you max capacity for any table
(Base Plate )or single and multi-Pallets
on a single base plate. He can configure
pallets to any production needs.
Send an e-mail for more info

DuuuuuDE,
Nick is right, rough it out, leave grind stock
.003 to.01 ( even if you dont grind )
Harden it, draw it down to temper it
(otherwise it will be very brittle)
and then grind or attempt to machine to
finsh.
I've got to say, coming from the "old school "
The basics need to be resurrected...FAST...
OH BOY
By the way, tool steel Should be drawn to 63Rc
max...any reason for 66rc...oil or air hard...??
HTHeals
Tonyg
Good ev,
J , Are you talking about a machine
shuttle or hand removable pallets ( Jergens )
I know a shop that makes Custom Pallet
systems for about 30% less than a Jergens
System ( Base and ball lock Pallets )
All Jergens Hardware. and you can put them
on any machine
Tony G
gOOD EV,
Actually the second macine is good for a loner
cause you can set one up wile the other one is
running... If you have a lot of work... But if
you have alot of repeate jobs the pallet is the
way to go...If you can keep jobs set up on
tomb stones...and down/up load all fixture
offsets and preset all tool heights. you
can set up a 30 tool job in 15 to 30 min
and have a part in inspection too.
so there are upsides to both sides

Good e,
Ramp is ok for soft material...Aluminums...
delrin and such. Its More difficult with steels
and stainless . Also, with conventional
HSS or even carbide, it causes alot of shock
and premature tool wear. Not to mention,
in hard materials, if you decrease the angle
to prevent tool wear, you increase cycle time
it takes to machine parts... Hence, predrill
saves time and you can even use a drill you
would use to drill other holes, even if the
drill is a little smaller than the plunging
slot endmill.
In this day and age, you need to save time and not loose a job to a company
that you quoted high on because you were dilly-
ing around with ramp plunging.
Time Is MONEY
TonyG
Good eve,
Today I reverse posted a program and it
worked well...the only thing on drill cycles,
G83..G81, I only got a "Z" value Equal to
the final "Z" depth of the hole. No G83,R,
Q, F... and all the X,Y locations.
Any Idea...??
