That did the trick.
Thanks so much...seemed like a lame question maybe but in all reality
this is the first new multiaxis project I've gotten to develop since I upgraded to MCX9
So that might give you an inkling into how xxxx is here after another corporate (English)
ownership change.
Thanks again and happy New Year
I realize this thread is 8+ years old but it's the closest relevant one I found when I searched so please don't bust my chops..
My question is the reverse of the above, I've set the "Backside color" for surfaces but it doesn't change.
It stays stuck on whatever color in both wireframe or shaded.
Oh yeah, currently MCX9.
Not earth-shattering yet annoying
Thank you
On our Fanuc Oi-MC's_ I/O=1 for DNC I/O=4 for the card
On our Fanuc 31i-5X _ I/O=5 for the card
Not sure above is relevant but I feel your pain. Been there
Wasn't aware I WAS complaining. I was and am VERY appreciative of the tool and as I posted above, the flaw I encountered was of my own making.
:new forum Excuse the crap out of me
While I loved and use(d) the free Verisurf hole axis tool, I have to say, the X7 option
is SO much easier and cleaner to use.
No longer do I have to delete and run the "findoverlap" c-hook, to clean up multiple centerlines created from every
modeled diameter, (c/bores, sinks etc.)
And can choose only the diameters you want.
But the Verisurf tool saved my butt many, MANY times and was much appreciated!
I program and run a CMS, ARES-4818-PX5
X-189", Y-71", Z-47", B+/- 120 degrees, C +/- 270 degrees
About 400K installed so maybe more in the size you'd be wanting
Machine is primarily for composite structures and Radoms but has performed well
machining large holding and vacuum fixtures from aluminum, light cuts only. Forget
anything aggressive but it holds tolerances extremely well!
Their support is great via phone or Go to meeting on the machine.
No regrets here
I just finished re-installing X6 for this very reason
I'll leave X7 active also for stuff already done but I have several large 5 axis projects coming up and I need to be able to verify where I'm comfortable.
X6 watertight issues occurred sometimes but the overall quality and comfort is something more important to me right now.
While I do 90% of the programming here, I'm also the prove out guy and I need to know what’s going to happen, for my heart and sphincter's
sake. These fixtures are too $$$ to risk crashing so I'll take peace of mind any time.
Sometimes I seriously wonder why we are constantly updating something that works fine, as is.
The headaches make me cringe every time a new release is announced.......
64 Bit?
We had a guy ( someone at our MC reseller) tell another guy here that v9 won't run on Win 7 period, after
you told me it would run w/ nethasp.
we have 64 bit win 7 machines, X6, currently running USB hasp's.
Many thank guys!!
Downloaded and working great.
What a time saver!
I don't know where I got it before? I just checked our other seat which is still X5
and its not in it either so I don't know if I installed it on my seat of X5 and had since forgotten it??
Gettin old is a Bitch........
Again, Thanks
I realize this is 9 years old but I recently did a mass diameter edit, I guess I used the editarc c-hook, in X5,
I can't find anything to do this in X6
Am I blind or just ignorant?
Thanks
OK, so I'm up and running X6 in the new win7, hasp working fine etc.
Loaded V9 but getting "Hasp not found"
I realize support for v9 is long gone but the hasp worked fine for both versions
in the XP PC. I did the HCODE file but it also said "Hasp not found"
Anything I can do here?
Thanks
We went straight from V9 to X4 so an earlier install of X doubtful, unless I can get ma man Cjep @ Prism
to hook me up. I'll probably be needing his assistance soon anyway.
Thanks
Man! I've been searching the archives for 3 hours so if the answer is there and I've missed it, please accept my apologies,
But how can I do a mass convert of MC7's to MC9.
I have X5 and V9 installed on this machine, (XP 32). Bought a new PC, Win 7 32, so I can install SolidWorks2013 and will be installing X6 fresh. I have 1350 MC7 files I'd like to convert while I have access to V9
1 by 1 isn't an option. How do I do a mass convert??
Those MC7 are old and decrepit but I don't want to lose them
Thanks
Basically, the dealer offered it up to my "supervisor", who is clueless, and he asked me to see what I could find out.
It's early in the process and I'm not locked into this machine or this dealer, or so I'm told. The lease option and availability would be the only driving factor is my guess.
I saw that Methods was the import site and I've dealt with them over the years at another shop for matsuuras, (I wish!), so I guess MTA is just a middle man tacking on and delivering/setting up.
I'll see what else I hear here and over at PM.
Personally?, Mat's or Makinos are on top of my wish list but Not seeing that happen.
Thanks for the response.
