  1. Yes Be-Cu..... We started out with about .0005" clearance and they started to bind up. Then we diamond coated the pins and are still having a binding issue. I will also add that the molds are being built at three different shops and all are having the same issue. We are also trying to see if steel pins will work better with the copper inserts. Also, since yesterday we came across additional documentation regarding the use of copper on copper issue which allows for .0015" to .002" clearance. So, work in progress....
  2. Anyone familiar with copper ej pins in copper inserts? We have had conflicting advice on the required pin clearance.
  3. Try adjusting cut tolerance, if you have line/arc and smoothing tolerance ON turn them OFF first and try regen.
  4. We have added three machines and had pads cut and poured for each one with perimeter isolation over the last few year as they were installed. And they were all 24" plus with rebar.
  5. DId it get set from a misc Int that was set?
  6. yikes.... We are taking the necessary precautions. Machine wet and ventilate vapors.
  7. thanks for the advice, will do some test drilling to see if we can get the results we are looking for.
  8. Anyone familiar with Beryllium Copper? Drilling deep water lines to be specific.... .4375" dia. I am thinking I will need to use gun drills instead of the long coolant through solid carbide drills.
  9. Has anyone else noticed how sometimes when multiple sessions are open (X7), if you close one, it sometimes closes all instances? I have had this happen to me quite a few times so far and I've only been on X7 for about 2 weeks at most? The delay in X7 close seems to be when it happens. Eg I close the one tab and while its closing, I click the other tab to go back to the other file and then they end up both closing on me. Yes, I have had that happen a few times.
  10. Anyone else getting this?
  11. Yep, ran into that issue..... I just took the 101 class with Colin, very helpful course. If you get a chance to code it that would be nice to see. Thanks

  14. I was overwhelmed with responses.
  15. Never mind I see the error of my ways..... Small brain cramp this morning.
  16. Before installing X3 MU1 I was able to update tool libraries as I used them. Now I can not. I am sure I am just missing something here.... I have tried to Import Directory and get no *.tools updated. Help
  17. I am unable to access the ftp site as well. I tried using IE with passive unchecked.
  18. When importing a DWG file in X3 the file comes in all gray. Where is there a setting to change how the file colors are imported. I checked importing the file in X2 and the file converts correctly with colors.
  19. Titex and osg have some good drill selection programs on their web sites. Do you have a coolant thru spindle? http://www.titex.com/sandvik/3432/Internet...B8700412A0AC125 6CCB002EA86B&banner=/sandvik/3432/Internet/DE07001.nsf/LookupAdm/BannerForm%3FOpenDocument
  20. Actually you're right Zero, had it since 1st version of X. Is this only happening with dual core?
  21. I have had that dual box error since I installed X2.
  22. OSG, YG, and Fraisa, for solid carbide tools are a great place to start.
