danbo did you use surface finish flow line??

Why do you need to create a surface when you have solids?
newbie at surfacing and trying to figure it out as I go. Thanks to all for the help.
Thats OK my mp3 player was on loud and I wouldn't have heard you!
I did what you said. Then I picked the outside radius as my drive surface. I picked the inside radius and the inside wall as my check surface. Now it says "Check and drive stock to leave are identical. You may wish to adjust check stock by plus or minus cut tolerance for crisper tool motion near external sharp corners formed by check and drive geometry"
I have a job where I have an outside radius .03 that blends to an inside radius .03 up to a wall. I lost on how to do this. If anyone wants to look it is in X2 on the FTP site. test.mcx
Thanks all
I even have a VB script that I run when I start a new part that asks the same 2 questions, Customer name and part number with rev and it sets up all the right folders
Tom,
I have customer folder, part number with rev, inside of that, 4 folders- source,nc code, model & docs.
Inside of nc code I have a folder for every machine.
I have a VB script set up where it askes customer name and part number then it post the right nc code for all 8 diffrent machines to the correct folder inside the part file.
I set up 2 different short cuts,
1. MCX2 new file, that opens mastercam and runs set_level.vbs like Pete said to do and I'm ready to start a new file with all levels set. (Thanks Pete, Bullins, and James)
2. MCX2 open file, that opens mastercam and runs Thad's file open.vbs ,so I can open an existing mastercam file. ( Thanks Thad )
This forum is so cool
Thanks all
I go from top to left side in wcs. Then I rotate wcs around z axis 90 degrees and name the new WCS. When I try to rotate the part it jumps back to top view.
For some reason every time I try to run any VB script in X2. X2 locks up. I have to kill that session I am running. All VBS are proven and work in X. Any ideas????
