  1. danbo did you use surface finish flow line?? quote: Why do you need to create a surface when you have solids? newbie at surfacing and trying to figure it out as I go. Thanks to all for the help.
  2. Thats OK my mp3 player was on loud and I wouldn't have heard you! I did what you said. Then I picked the outside radius as my drive surface. I picked the inside radius and the inside wall as my check surface. Now it says "Check and drive stock to leave are identical. You may wish to adjust check stock by plus or minus cut tolerance for crisper tool motion near external sharp corners formed by check and drive geometry"
  3. Soildworks. I have the solidworks part file.
  4. I have a job where I have an outside radius .03 that blends to an inside radius .03 up to a wall. I lost on how to do this. If anyone wants to look it is in X2 on the FTP site. test.mcx Thanks all
  5. I even have a VB script that I run when I start a new part that asks the same 2 questions, Customer name and part number with rev and it sets up all the right folders
  6. Tom, I have customer folder,part number with rev, inside of that, 4 folders- source,nc code,model & docs. Inside of nc code I have a folder for every machine. I have a VB script set up where it askes customer name and part number then it post the right nc code for all 8 diffrent machines to the correct folder inside the part file.
  7. Can you just have diffrent folders for the diffrent machines. I post every program for 8 diffrent every time I post. Use a multipost VB Script.
  8. I set up 2 different short cuts, 1. MCX2 new file, that opens mastercam and runs set_level.vbs like Pete said to do and I'm ready to start a new file with all levels set. (Thanks Pete, Bullins, and James) 2. MCX2 open file, that opens mastercam and runs Thad's file open.vbs ,so I can open an existing mastercam file. ( Thanks Thad ) This forum is so cool Thanks all

  11. I named it OP 1 and G, WCS, and T/C are all OP 1. I figured out if I turned on "use 'Free' mode in dynamic spin" in config., it works right.
  12. I go from top to left side in wcs. Then I rotate wcs around z axis 90 degrees and name the new WCS. When I try to rotate the part it jumps back to top view.
  13. For some reason every time I try to run any VB script in X2. X2 locks up. I have to kill that session I am running. All VBS are proven and work in X. Any ideas????

  16. Is anyone having problems running VB Scripts in X2? Every time I try to run a script it locks up X2 and I have to close Mastercam down???

  18. I keep getting Warning- error opening C:mcamx2configmcamx.config so I can't read any settings
  19. When I start up I get a lot of errors. I think when it migrated settings it didn't like x+, or do I need to install X+???
  20. If you conventional cut the slot behind the cutter will help keep the saw blade from wondering off line and shattering.
  21. I need to increase the RPM of my endmill after I get it fully started in my cut. Is this possible?
