  1. can someone tell me where I can find the bounding box icon so I can add it to my toolbar I cant seem to find it anywhere. Thanks in advance
  2. after you create the transform toolpaths I believe you can move them in the order you want to run them in the op manager
  3. thanks a lot for info you learn something new all the time on these forums
  4. what does that message mean is that some sort of add on that needs to be purchased from reseller because if so I need to talk to my boss
  5. sorry you may be right I am not a rotary expert but it does interest me so I tried what you said and got that message. We do some rotary here but its just index then machine I am afraid some day we will get a job like your example and not be able to do it
  6. this might be a silly question but what if you don't have the 5ax multi surf option.I tried this and got a 5ax option not available contact reseller. Is there a reasonably good way of doing it with 4ax rotary
  7. do you have to bore it(assuming your using a boring bar).I would helix bore then clean up with a new end mill
  8. we have a gantry over our machines,we just put the part on the floor with a forklift and the crane does it from there
  9. I also learned hard way no autosave for me either
  10. its probably because one is climb and the other is conventional milling you should always climb mill when possible then make another spring pass to clean it up
  11. a guy here happen to run into the top of our kurt jaws just last week so we machined them down with a 3in flycutter with some seco button inserts
  12. i also set center of rotation in middle of part
  13. Z on a HRT-210 is 6 inches from table or whatever else it may be sitting on,so when I set up tools I touch off the table then put a 6 inch z offset in the machine control
  14. to me that's an edm job but if you have to do it on mill you will have to use small cutter in the corners to achieve what you want
  15. not sure whats going on there all I know is it worked for me with no errors
  16. with the rotary mounted to the right looking at the chuck it now spins ccw
  17. thanks JP but I found the solution in a previous post it was par 43 in hass control. You know these forums are great I am here by myself and the only way to get help is here. You guys are great
  18. hey guys how do I change the direction of rotation on my hass rotary axis.I went into the post and tried but it denied me access
  19. I sometimes use a finish toolpath to clean it up.Just leave stock and put depth limits where the other op left off
  20. (For roughing surface rough pocket for finish surface scallop) this is what I would do
  21. could you not just copy part one to different level, rotate 180 degrees then program that part
  22. that would be the next step its just that we use our rotary so very seldom it seems to be easier to work around issues.I am going to look into this because I,m the only one that knows how to run it and it does get frustrating sometimes doing jobs by winging it
  23. also I meant axis positioning not substitution not that it might matter
