  1. In situations like that I try to create one surface(usually a swept) if possable then use flowline toolpath
  2. not sure,climb milling should always cut straighter because it pulls the cutter into the material
  3. its hard to say without seeing the actual mastercam program
  4. that sounds like a machine issue but I have to ask,why bore and not contour cut the hole its a lot faster .I have never used a boring head yet
  5. I agree you can probably increase speeds and feeds ,its only aluminium
  6. I would double the rough stepover and depending on finish I always use a .002 or .003
  7. create a point 4mm from one side then chain the point first then the hole use point as starting point
  8. can you attach the mc file so we can look at your settings I generally do things like that with a scallop toolpath with a small stepover
  9. I to use helix bore quite often and it does everything I want it to do

  11. micro is right I use this toolpath all the time but I usually create a single surface I did not realize there was more than one surface
  12. in flowline op click on geometry then flowline then cut direction should give you what you want
  13. sorry that's the only thing I can think of foam isn't the easiest to cut at the best of times
  14. feed rate maybe to fast?Foam might push away from cutter before it gets a chance to cut.What kind of cutter are you using it will need to be sharp

  17. I have been playing with this for hours cant seem to get anything to work .surface Contour seems to work best but I cant get it to go down to the bottom of surface(.505)can anyone help or is there a better way of doing this part.mcx-9
  18. hi guys,first time using lollipops need help.How do I keep toll down while cutting surface and how do I retract tool from the center of the arc on the end so I can be sure its not going to gouge surface part.mcx-9
