  1. quote: coitus interuptus I have to admit that I am not sure what this means.(dont have my Danish-English dictionary here at work). But as far as I know, and I could be wrong. Spain pulled there troops out of Iraq, but double there troops in Afganistan. It was not nearly as many as they had in Iraq, but in these times I dont want to be the one to deside how many each country should send. (Offcourse, this would be realative to the population of the country, and their army) Lars The Dane who take the full blame for not understanding proper english.
  2. I forgive anyone who helps in this united war on terror. Lars
  3. You could always install a compressor horn in the CAD-room, and run a wire to the machine, and let the machine touch the switch installed on the back end of the table with the last tool, right before M30. That should get you going. just a idea, if offcourse Haas dont have anything better. Lars
  4. what if you have it going into "sleep mode" after 1 min. will it then stop beeping? Lars
  5. Don, Are you sure? I have seen a couple of times were there is generated some point way out, so you can not see the geometry before you start zooming like crazy. Lars
  6. I dont get it, why not use filter Lars
  7. cmr, I might be wrong but I believe that it is the same on the 15k, but I have not had any problems, though that the longest I have had the spindel running without coolant have been 1 hour. Lars
  8. Hi hansdeberlin, How about using filter in Mcam. I dont think you can tolerance in your post execpt changing .0000 to .000 But I could be wrong, would not be the first time. Lars
  9. Hi Mackius, Do a search on the forum, ATI cards have been covered alot. Lars
  10. I just called a meeting with managment today, I have been on nights several times, this time we are close to a 8 months period. I will do almost anything for this company but with a 3 year old, and a 13 year old who starts softball, I am done, please get me back on days, half the weekend is gone if I want to do something outside, I dont get out til around noon, and I still would like to stop doing stuff around 4 so I have a changes to wash up and enjoy the weekly dinner I get with my famely. But from a work perspective, night rocks, no idiots, no phone calls, no nothing. Lars Hockey:GO HABS GO
  11. I love verify, speciel because this Milling is so different from WEDM. I am one of these types wheres a belt and susbencers when I work. I backplot from the top, do a Collision check, backplot from the side, Verify, plot it out on the screen on the Haas, and then running it Z2. above part with feedrate overdrive at 999%. Millman I can see you problem, if you have 62 hours runtime, you are getting pretty old before you are done with verify. Could you start verify with Tool#1 and save it as a STL. Get the Tool#1 going in the machine, and then call up the STL file and verify Tool#2 ect.? Lars
  12. Hi guy's Thanks for the response. Tom your feed and speeds worked great, that thing just cut nice like it was butter. So is it me who is confusing HSM with hardmilling, since I want full throtle and small steps with like 10 % step over, or is it because I did not have a TIALN coated cutter? I apreciate all the help, there will be a colded one with your guys name on it, if you stop by the house. Thanks Lars
  13. Harry, I wasent sure if your split personalit name was Tom. Mine has numbers Lars1 and Lars2. Friends and famely says Lars2 is I will give it a shot unless hardmill or someone else gives something better( I dont know if there is anything better) I just know that at one point I got recomended running full rpm and steps of .001 with air blowing as crazy, but I was using TIALN coated endmills. I am not to concernd with finish and size. Say thanks to Tom from me. Thanks Lars
  14. Hi Tom/Harry, So what you are telling me is if I take a 1/2 4 flute endmill going 344 rpm at 0.68 inch per min. at .020 depth. I know you know more about milling than I do, but WOW that seems slow to me. Thanks Lars
  15. Hi guy's I made one of these And is now standing with 3 blocks of D2 back from heat-treat. I need to mill a path .02 deep 1.2" wide and 4" long. I do not have any TIALN coated endmills, I have regular endmills 4 flute and 3 flute in the sizes 3/16-1/4-3/8-1/2. I have a VF3 Haas with 15.000 rpm. Can one of you guy's be kind enough to give me a hint in the right direction?? I am thinking 15.000 rpm with a chip load around .0005 with a 1/4 4 flute endmill.?? Coolant/No collant? I would verly apreciate any help. Thanks Lars [ 04-16-2004, 05:32 PM: Message edited by: Lars ]

  21. I think that I am trying to do something simular. I have added Create-Parallel-Sid to my toolbar, it put the icon as 21, I would like to steal the icon for Create-Parallel, is this possible? If the answer is the same as above, then I dont understand what "map it" means. Any comment will be apreciatet. Thanks Lars Mcam 8.1.1
  22. You should be able to do this in screen-configeration-toolbars/keys. Also Brian123 made a c-hook that made the wheel on your mouse zoom like in autocad, it also makes changing coulor easyer, I love that c-hook. Do a search. Lars
  23. Hi Code_Breaker, I tryed the 3D sweep with a standard endmill, WOW I did not even get the "feed overrite buttom" up to 100% before it was done, on my test piece. This did exatly what I wanted, just faster . So I am going to throw that tapered endmill in my pockett. However I do not getting any I and J values in my output, I cant see and Filter function. Thanks Lars
  24. Another I just noticed is that both in pocket or 2D sweep it will stop using I and J values, for the last part of the hole in the output. Lars
