  1. Probely some 13 year old, who just spend his hole savings on a new Fender, and his old man told him to bring it back Lars
  2. Cadist, Ok, well I got to admit that I am also a very big fan of verify, but it is not going to hold me back from cutting the part. As Winnie wrote you should be able to customize your tool for verify, myself have never been in the situation were that was needed. Lars
  3. Cadist, Are you actelly going to cut this part as you statted in your 1st. post or are you teaching? The big bear in my opinion went on a stretch here, to try to help you be able to do this part. But since you keep mentioning about verification I get a strange feeling Lars
  4. What toelrances are you trying to hold? You could also think about bying two Haas's for the prize of one of the other ones, and be able to get more work throw, Fanuc controels are more commen, but man the Haas has a easyer control, to work with. Lars
  5. Well Peter, if I would had taken the time to read your 1st. post probely, you would not have to waste your time explaining your self. Now were I read it the 3rd. time , I got to say you make yourself pretty clear. (Me and english ) Now I am thinking Why not give them the txt or doc file, and they can import it to Mcam, then they would not onely get your feeds and speeds, but also your depth of cut and step over. I have found as being pretty green in the milling that feeds and speed are realtive easy to figure out, or at least get a range, it is the two other factors that you only get by experience. Lars
  6. Thats a good question d00d, I was not thinking of that, I just assumed that Dave runs a older version than 8.1. This place we started out with Mcam 6, and startet back then making our own proven libary's. When Mcam 8 came out (I skipped version 7) I did not wanted to use the once that came with version 8, because I already had "good" settings from version 6. So what I did was from Mastercam 8, Convert=>Next=>Pre 8 wtl, and that way brought them into version 8. But as I promised in my email Dave, here is a examble with 1 inch cut with 5 passes in text. 1 1231 1 0 0.01820 0.12000 NONE 2 1232 2 0 0.01420 0.20000 NONE 3 1233 3 0 0.01180 0.14000 NONE 4 1233 4 0 0.01140 0.14000 NONE 5 1234 5 0 0.01060 0.20000 NONE Your Epack, your offest in Dia, your feedrate. Lars
  7. You shoud be able to take the HTML sheet and modifi that to give feeds and speeds. I think Lars
  8. quote: Guys do me a favor and let this drop. but But BUT......... You Got it Millman, I will respect that Lars
  9. Roger you are the MAN!! Thank you so much Lars
  10. Hi Dave, I do not run FX30, I am running FA series, and have runned SB and CX series, always had english Epacks for those, have you tryed to contact Mits to see if they have something?. As for me, I creat a text libery as I go. So I have folders in the computer like this: 10 wire=>2 inch thick=>5 passes. And so on. So my libary is slowly getting bigger as different jobs come in, this also gives me a changes to correct offsets after the 1st. cut, so the next time I know that everything is perfect when it comes to feedrate, offsets. Lars
  11. Code_breaker, On Millman's recamendations (Ithink) I got a Harvey Tool catalog, they have all kinds of weird tooling, you might want to check them out. Lars
  12. Hi Roger, I am home right now so I am not sure of the correct name of the post, I believe it is the MPHMITS that came with Mcam9. I am running Mcam 8.1 on Mitsubishi FA series. But if this info isent specific enough, I will gladly check when I get in tonight, Thanks Roger Lars
  13. Yep that is what I am saying Ok this is my problem My wire post will put out a power setting and a feedrate when conditions changes, but not if they dont. Now what I want is find were in the post were it look to see if there is a call for a different power setting or feerate, when it comes to a G41 or G42. Reason. My Mits wire goes very slow when it is running lead out on 4 axis cut, I have come by this by adding a F2.0 at the G40 line, control in the Misc. values. The problem appers when you do two roughs with out changing the feedrate, the second pass will run at F2.0. G40 X Y F2.0 (Here I would like to add the feedrate from the begining of the wire countour) M91 G42 X Y Any help would be highly apreciatet. Thank Lars
  14. I knew I did not have a clue of what you were talking about I just go back to my wire Lars
  15. Hi Thad, I am not sure if I understand what you have, is it .txt with geometry? if it is old programs. % G00 X Y G02 X Y could you reverse post them into Mastercam ?, what is it RP"Post name". I dont know, just one of these quick thoughts Thad Lars
  16. I know for a fact that this was tryed a couple of years ago, dont work. As already saied, loosing 4 one day make 8 another. The american people has already proven that they are ready to pay for the gas, because the amount of "big" cars and truck sale are not falling. This country have a poorly puplic transportation system unless you live right in the city, people dont want to take the bus, they want to take there cars and trucks. If you think about it, everything costs more and more, just look at milk. I am sure that our europian members are laughing, they pay around $5 a gallon. Lars
  17. Thanks Mold100, I will defently try 2 Flute. I normally are cutting D-2 and A-2 (soft) I have always used 3 Flute for rough and 4 Flute for finish, I thought that 2 Flute was for more soft materials like Aluminium. Lars
  18. Roger, I got to make this clear, I am running Mcam 8.1 so I am NOT familier with the Tread/Cut method, so I dont have a opinion of how it works, compared to STCW. What I am saying is that I am not that impressed with the wire side of Mastercam as I am on the Mill side, from version 6 to version 8. However I do not know what else is on the market for wire in the same price class, should not suprise me that there aint any. Lars
  19. +1 Midnite, I got to say HA-HA, this would be funny if it wasent Millman. Simple and whom ever from Millmans company who are involved in this mess, shame on you, did not dare to go up to Millman and say "hey I am also a member on that forum, and I think you and I have to talk". But Simple you are right we do not know all the things that goes on, or at least I only hear Millmans story, you know what I dont care, I take Millman's story every day. You want to know why? I tell you why, because if you are not the same person, you have the guts to make this your 1st. post on this forum, saying you are not working in this company, what the heck are you getting out of this, unless you are some sick guy, who sleeps better when you have throwed rotten eggs after someone, we dont know you, we dont care what you think, respect is something you earn, and you dont have mine. From what I know Millman is pretty damn good guy on a mill, he has proven that to me many times, not only is he good but he is also very helpfull, what I am pretty sure that the comapny get alot of benefits from. Millman I am trully sorry that you have to go through this, you dont deserve this. Lars
  20. Brent, I heard that they dropped STCW in 9.1, I have not have a changes to see how it is done now, but I got to edmit that I deffently are going to take a close hard look at Wire in the X demo, before I would consider recomending Mastercam Wire, I hate to say it but I am not impressed with Wire as I am with Mill from version 6 to version 8. Lars
  21. There should be a "post CD" that came with Mcam 8.1
  22. Silviad, I have to correct myself, the post you are looking is called MPWFANUC (W=wire). It is a standard post that comes with Mcam 8. I think you are wasting your time with the post you are using right now, forget about that one. If you dont find it then I am sure you can get it from you reseller free (I freaking hope ). You do need a post for 2-D and one for 4-axis, same post can do both. The only thing that I remember that I had to edit in my MPWFANUC post, was that I needed a "S" value in front of my power settings, but that was a easy fix. Let me know how you make out. Lars
  23. Thanks James, Yep I would love to update, and I hope that I can get the boss to go for the version X when it comes out. Lars
