Also in absolute try using detect flats and tick adjust for stock to leave on drive surfaces. This will give you the Min Max deepths of cut.Now highlite the Min deepth go to end of the figure in the box and minus your deepth of cut that you are taking. Now the first cut will be your deepth of cut under the highest point plus stock amount.

In the filter page turn on create arcs in YZ,XZ planes.

Well said crazy.Been trying to get a 5-axis post from reseller for a year and who does the Boss take it out on???? True what you say alot of poeple buy a 5-axis machine and then realise just how important a post is to the equasion. There are just so many variables with 5 axis machines and what each operater would like. Heres to the future

Also if ther are trimmed sufaces on that level you will have to unblank the parent surfaces and delete them also so that level will have zero entities on it.

Can i hide the toolpathes before i make a new one ?

Hi, Welcome. Im not sure if thid is what you are looking for but give this ago.Press the ALT key and the T key together then F3 this will turn off toolpath display and refresh your screen. -

This is a thought with geometry can you create spline from curves/chain. Then you can modify break splines to arcs??? Also when using .dxf files I like to go screen / next menu / comb veiws.

I came into work this morning (Monday) and the disc are not here my reseller said he would drop them in Friday.I have no Mastercam and Im trying to keep n shop of 12 machines going. Not to mention the bosses responce about or Mastercam situation...

It should not matter what tool you use. I tried what you said and i had no prob MC uses the tip as tool ref, so it doesn't matter wether its a bull - ball - endmill - drill. I can only think that maybe your retract height is set to incremental and not absolute and gouges???? -

No its not and i havent got the 9.1 disc's ethier so i cant install MC back to the pre march update. My MC just shuts down soon as I open it
