Good morning! Today will be a better day. I do not have much time to spend on this but I will help you as much as I can. I too find myself in those situations quite regularly. I am assuming you only have access to a three access vertical. I generated a very nice toolpath using surface finish contour, but I used a 14 inch diameter circle on the origin for the containment. This might not be the most efficient process but it should get you a very nice part today. I hope this helps. I will be checking back off and on today. GOOD LUCK!

What version mastercam are you using? I have had similar problems with version 9. Version 9.1 takes care of the problem.

I frequently program parts from pro-e files, and have never had a problem. There is a pro-e converter in mastercam, so there is not a need for iges.

Thanks for the input, it seems to be a version 9 problem. When I ran the exact same file on version 9.1 it worked perfectly!

In order to cut the part you will need to use inverse feed time (g93).
