Good Morning!
I have a few haas 4 axis posts that are configured differently. If you e-mail me a copy of yours, I will take a look at it and see if I can make the necessary changes.
Update, most problems are fixed by checking the heal solids on import. I am still not 100 percent confident with it so I will stick to solidworks. My two cents.
The step translator is not working properly, so do not get your hopes up. Some files are ok, but the pro e step files open as poorly as the pro e translator does.
If you are serious about purchasing a post I would recommend contacting CAMAIX. They have a link at the bottom of the screen. I have three of them and would recommend them to anyone.
Gcode is correct. I program 2 trunnion machines. I have an offset for the z and the y in my post. The end result is the loss of interchangeable programs.
I have a video I made on a vf2 ss trunnion. If you are interested I can e-mail it to you. I program two of these machines every day. I will be more than happy to try and answer any questions you have.
A solid carbide slow spiral drill will work just fine. M.A ford sells them and they are about a quarter of the cost of coolant fed drills. I even use them in titanium.
