  3. Thank you for the replay .

my problem is when machine (tool) from initial position (x,z switches) moving on rapid (G0) to program initial point ( example X2.0 Z0.1) it moving on 45 deg angle then what is left over on Z moving straight . If i am using center it could crush into the turret.

To avoid crush i would like to let machine move on home position first ( example x5. z0.25)

    Thank you

  4. Hi,

How i can force in G-code output "Home position " after tool change.

right now i have next output :

    N100 G00

    N110 G20

    N120 G99

    N130 G50 S3500

    N140 G54 T0202 ( T2 OD FINISH RIGHT - 35 DEG. INSERT - VNMG-431 )

    N150 G96 S200 M03

( ------RIGHT HERE -------) I would like to have "Home position" defind volume .

    N160 G00 X2.0185 Z0.1

    N170 G01 Z0. F0.005

    N180 Z-0.5412

    N190 G02 X2.0216 Z-0.574 R0.3531

    N200 G01 X2.284 Z-1.9804

    N210 G03 X2.3335 Z-2.512 R5.7226

    N220 G01 Z-8.8583

    N240 M09

    N250 G00 X5. Z0.25

    N260 T0200 M05

    N270 M30

    Thank you in advance

  5. So after a few more weeks with no problem, we had another "incident."

This time instead of the tool just taking off in rapid at a random point in the program, the symptoms were a little more interesting. While in the middle of a sub program running on the second part (each sub runs 8 times per cycle) the machine decided it was not going to finish this sub program, but instead it retracted to Z0, called up the first tool, and started running the main program from the very begging.

I know the operator wasn't involved this time for sure, as I was standing right there when it happened.

A repair tech should be coming to look at the machine soon, and the first thing I will have him check is that the machine is properly grounded.

Are you sure you are not too close to limit swiches ? Let say you using long tool , so you are close to z limit when you going from point to point

  6. I usually open about 300MB+ step files (complete model of injection mould) and it takes about 2 or 3 hours to open it. After opening it is little slower, but after i found part i need and save it in separate file its ok.

For one kind of job i always create about 100+ MB mcx file (a lot of komplex free surface solids with toolpaths) and i must say that with these files MC became little unstable, i have to save job every 10 mins, because crashes when doing some operations with solids became more often. But it can be solved by splitting file in parts. Reopening is faster than, because i can open only file with part i curently need. But I do not complain, because second best won't it :-) Mastercam is the best for me.

I found same thing mastercam become unstable and do weard stuff when file grovs.

  7. X6 MU2

    I have following problem.

    1-st

I created drilling operation. Again to edit operation, choose other geometry (point, arc) from toolpath type page, press button "apply" - Mastercam crashed.

    2-nd

Again to edit operation, change type of operation (from drill to cirle mill or helix bore), press button "apply" - Mastercam crashed.

I have checked up it on three computer with different operation systems and have received identical result: Mastercam crashed. There is no difference between win7 or win XP or Vista, between 64 and 32 bit operation system.

    Anybody have the similar problems?

Editing geometry in drilling operation works fine if you pick on Drill points manager in Operation manager.

So far i don't have any crush.

I had some crushes on my laptop when i do quick varify.
