How to approach to this kind of parts (picture attached)? What tool path will be best for it ?

Stock - round bar 2.5 inch

Big dia 2.4 inch

Small dia 1.2 inch

Yep Brian, that is the tradeoff. Waiting for the damn verify, but we also saved some loot by reducing the workload on the polisher. I dumped the Quadro Card (fx3500 and fx1800) and installed a GeForce GTX 460 about a year ago. Made a huge difference in the verify speed but not the same as changing the tolerance. Adding arcs to the filter will also dramatically improve the verify speed as you are suggesting.

mr fish, what i have done is run fbm just to make the geometry. run fbm and delete the operations.

the geometry gets savedto a different level.

I have X6 files I open, my config does NOT change

 

Did you migrate from X6 to X7 by chance?

 

Go into your X7 config make sure it's using the X7 config in the X7 my mcamx/config folder

 

If it continues, maybe something in the config is curupt, I doubt it but you never know.

 

Close Mastercam X7, delete the config, restart Mastercam and start with a fresh new config file, see if that helps

I have no idea why it happened , I used to be open many mx6 files as well with no problem .

Frustrating because it not first time happened .

Nothing wrong with my mx7 config file . Problem- Mastercam x7 start use configuration directories ox mastercam x6.

Now I know why :

For some reason it change registry responsible for it .

It was working fine since x7 was released .

It happened after i opened mcx6 file .

Looks like it read config from x6.

How i can redirect my x7 back to x7 config ?

Saddenly mastercam x7 start read configuration files from shared mcamx6 directory .

Even deleting config file does not help.

Any medicine to fix this problem ?

Is new verify (X7) showing gaps on solid when verifying against solid model as old verify for X6?
