  1. Tony, it's amazing that the few of us that worked there actually got along very well. They are still very good friends of mine. Normally with an ownership like that, everyone else would be at each others throats.
  2. You're correct cannon. Seen the same here. Sorry I missed that at the beginning of this post.
  3. http://www.emastercam.com/board/index.php?showtopic=57946&st=100
  4. How've ya been Tony?! Yeah, when 30 employees turn through a shop with a staff of 10 in 4 years, something is wrong.
  5. I set my processor to the default settings (no longer overclocked) and created a new Optirough toolpath emulating the settings in the file I sent Jim Evans with the same bad result. I will leave it at default for awhile and see what happens.
  6. Which four are fixed?! Every item I listed I've had grief with X6! One other thing Mark, you apparently didn't read my post. See my above quote "I've sent in enough files over the years, including that optirough destruction since the inception of that toolpath. I don't have the time to send files in all the time. The software should be rock solid before I install it."
  7. Select a stock model in verify and the lovely enhanced Mastercam Crash Reporting window pops up. Happened several times in the last few days on 3 different files. Sometimes it works as intended.
  8. Thanks for the article mr8. I can easily turn it back down and see what happens to that file.
  9. Neuro, I've seen that on several occasions in X5MU1. That's why I banned myself from using Optirough until X6 with the better bullnose support. We would only use Optirough on trodes. I think it's usually caused by shallow surfaces near a flat floor. I had to raise my depth limit by .023" to prevent the damage and get a nice toolpath and follow up with a horizontal path to semi the flats. .023" = the next higher flat + the .010" stock to leave on floors. My part has a curved parting line (shallow surfaces) between Z0.0" and Z.023". I shouldn't have to crunch this damn toolpath more than once to get it to work! Jim, I'll send you the z2g now. I condensed the file and reproduced the issue along with a toolpath that doesn't cause any destruction.
  10. When we slow down a bit, I'll compile all the bugs I've encountered including screenshots and send them in. Right now I'm buried with our best man on medical leave. I'm only doing this once. I've sent in enough files over the years, including that optirough destruction since the inception of that toolpath. I don't have the time to send files in all the time. The software should be rock solid before I install it.
  11. Turning off the arc filter did the trick. But I had to regen that path several times till I got a decent toolpath.
  12. Rickster, about your control def not updating. That has happened to me on every upgrade since X. I called the reseller the other day and they informed me it will do that with every upgrade if I leave the previous version on the pc. You have to manually edit all your control defs once you direct the control def to the new post. I have to do that with 7 machines. A real pain in the xxxx!
  13. That error happened to my laptop pc at home. I continued with the install and everything seemed fine except the new machine simulation failed. My laptop pc is Vista Home Premium which isn't actually supported by X6, so I can't really bitch about it.
  14. Another new issue that popped up with X6 that I haven't seen in X5
  15. Dirtied toolpaths in my case were the HS-HORIZONTAL AND CONTOUR 2D.
  16. FU SLIX! I have been making wonderful parts for many years with this software, but I'm no longer defending or promoting it anymore! I see someone at CNC had enough time to enhance the crash reporting screen! Kudos to them! http://i151.photobucket.com/albums/s126/mattstang70/CRASH.jpg
  17. Well said Neuro! I just had a talk with the general manager at our facility. Powermill may be in our future. I have used it briefly in the past and was impressed with the results. It may not totally replace Mastercam due to the lack of decent 2d and drilling paths in Powermill, but it may solve our issue with the bugs. I've been pretty quiet regarding my frustration with this software until this last release. The moment we slow down a bit, I'll be shopping around!
  18. This is the first file I created in X6. Some of the toolpaths were copied and altered. But like I said, it dirtied everything yesterday, then late afternoon I reopened the file and it worked fine. Today, I reopened the file and it still worked fine. Closed the part and reopened and now it goes dirty again when I make the tool number changes.
  19. Well, back to the same old sh@! now! Change the tool number in the tool manager or within in a toolpath and all the associated paths go dirty again. WTF!!!
  20. The last week working with X6, the ops would go dirty when changing the feedrates or renumbering the tools. Suddenly, it works fine altering either of the values. I updated windows yesterday and again this morning. I wonder if that had something to do with it.
  21. Tyler, you obviously didn't read all my last post in this thread. And yes, I am running the latest update.
  22. I don't get it. Now I change the feedrates and it suddenly works without making the ops going dirty. What da hell is going on here?
  23. Tool number being fixed?! Yeah right!! It's fixed alright! Change the tool number and ALL the paths go dirty!! It WILL ONLY change the tool number WITHOUT turning the toolpaths dirty if you use edit common parameters, check the tool selection box, right click on your desired tool and edit the tool. Any other method causes the paths to go dirty.
