  2. Having an issue when trying to run an engraving toolpath in X9. This has always worked before, however when I go to complete the toolpath, it shows engraving on geometry that does not exist. Here is the screenshot. This is a fresh test file, It is doing the same thing on all programs we attempt to engrave with. I only had created the letters and it wants to engrave that circle and blog which I did not draw! Any advice would be appreciated.
  3. What kind of advise are you looking for? Need some more information or we'll all just be throwing darts at a board blind. What tools do you have available? What thread are you cutting? Where is the hole? IE: is it axial or radial? Radial thread milling cannot be done without a Y axis.

  5. I downloaded the RTM this morning at home about an hour ago I just tried it here at work and the Beta Download site is down for maintenance.
  6. So it is I must have missed the email
  7. Have you had your lathe aligned? Proper alignment is key to finish guality.
  8. The RTM release is on the BETA download site
  9. Thanks, wondered if that might be the case.
  10. Beta is over We are at PC2 (production candidate 2) I thought that was available to all licensed users, but apparently the PC's are only available to beta users. The formal public release is scheduled for June, but that could be tomorrow or 3 weeks from now
  11. Yesterday
  12. It's listed separately down lower on the page Least it was yesterday
  13. Anyone got a copy of the latest beta they can send me, appears to have been taken off of downloads section.
  14. And remember, a lot of fields allow negative values. Stock to leave is one of them, so if you need to cut a little more to get the fit you want, you can use negative stock to leave on your finish toolpath.
  15. I don't know if it exists in threadmill cycle, and I don't have MillTurn where I work now. But we would mill end profiles of parts with axial live tooling and there is a checkbox in the mill cycle to use C or use Y.
  16. Yes, beta. That's why some of us were surprised to learn of its existence and confused why we couldn't follow the link.
  17. Fanuc 4 axis or even the MPMaster available on this site... Both will likely require some minor tweaks
  18. I am trying to set the coolant setting in my .mcam-defaults file to default to both "Ignore" and "With" on the second two coolant settings. If I select "On" or "Off" it lets me set it to "with". I've tried setting it to "On" and "With" and then setting it back to "Ignore" and saving it but it goes back to "Before". What I have in the picture is what I'm trying to get my defaults set to. Any tricks to get this setting to stick?
  19. Radially I think is out....that tool needs to remain perpendicular to the hole centerline
  20. We have a horizontal Doosan NHP 4000 im just curious what generic mastercam post to use
  21. We have a VTL (YOU JI YV1600 ATC+C) I need advice on how to do thread milling with the C-axis and X-axis, it does NOT have a Y-axis.
  22. Aaron you beat me to it because I got called in to a department meeting while I was reading this. Stock to leave was my first thought. And since he said acrylic I was also thinking stock to leave on floor for the downcut finish pass because of the way that stuff loves to chip and pit. Make an operation that leaves enough stock that the pits don't go into the finished material, and then copy the operation for your finish tool and set stock to leave to zero.
  23. Agreed. Seems like he needs to use the "Stock to leave on Wall" feature on the Cut Pattern page?
  24. I am a little confused. Are you trying to run a Contour with an endmill that leaves stock on the walls to be finished by another endmill?

Users can make enhancement requests or software changes and members can vote these suggestions up or down. CNC reviews the suggestions and the ones it accepts will eventually show up in a future release. The hitch to this plan is the length it takes to incorporate a change or enhancement request. X2025 is due out any day .. a minor change could possibly show up in an X25 update... but major things will have to wait till the X2026 beta cycle...
  26. Yeah, I can get in as well.....thinking it's only open for Beta users at this point
  27. Same here. I have no idea what they're talking about.
  28. Tried it and it says "You do not have permission to view this content"
