I know of an opportunity an an AE for a machine tool builder. It's a "Junior" position. Salary range is a hard (non-negotiable) $40-$50k. This is a HUGE opportunity for a young person looking to get into a position where the sky is the limit in what you can learn. The position is in Southern California.

 

You should be well versed in machine setups (Lathe - preferrably more than 2-axis, and Mill) Basic Manual Programming skills required. No particular CAD/CAM software is preferred over another but knowledge of programming is very important. Intermediate Computer skills a must also. No body piercings visible, clean appearance MANDATORY as you will be working with customers and dealers. Must be self motivated. Willing to travel.

I've got some bad news for you.

One on the last bills Gray Davis signed into law

makes hiring on the basis of personal appearance

or style of dress illegal. It went into effect 01/01/04

Your company is setting itself up for a nasty lawsuit.

Personally I think its just another smelly pile of Democratic BS, but if your company turns down

a qualified applicant because of funky hair or

body jewelry, it could hurt.

The job desciption you posted here is illegal and

if some ACLU a$$hole saw it, things could get very unpleasant.
