STEP ????

I did File/Converters/Write file/Step, gave it a name. Then it asked me for an Accsess code????

 

I have MC9 sp2 Level 3 mill,Lathe and Solids.

Am I restricted using STEP translator???

Step converter doesn't come with standard mastercam package. You have to buy it separately.

For which software you want. Try parasolid

I have a solid modal of a part i drew in MC but my customer wants a Step file to see it.I assumed i could give him a step file.

There is one Way. Buy It.

You can upload it to FTP and someone can give you STEP.

Or if you have SolidWorks, try saving it in Parasolid. Import it to SolidWorks and save it as STEP.

Rhino can do it too, but it sometimes has problems.

David if they can take step ,then they should be able to take a Parasolid file to just a thought.

 

if you must really have a Step file send me the file.

He is not my MC customer so I would not make a time if that is your intention of thought.

 

as for the First thought,of course I do.

I offer to translate files some time for two resions.

 

1) to get them out of problem needed at the moment.( bascialy to help them with there customer.

 

2) to show them that the translator they are looking at will do the job.

 

So the real answer to (Do you do this for all the forum member from all over the world. ) is YES

We have Solid edge and Pro E here as weel in the planning department so I'll handball it to them.

Autodesk wasnt before release V9.
