windows XP sp2 Confict

has anyone hade any problems with your Mastercam software when upgrading to windows xp SP2?

Armando, are you having troubles after updating?

If so what are they?

 

As I have stated before I have updated more then 4 MC boxs with XP SP2 and have had know troubles with MC so far.

 

I have updated total of 6 of my computers home and pro of XP.

 

As for FTP I use Filezillia now and have know troubles with most FTP's and its free, thanks Matt & Chris

I am wondering how many of you updated the software prior to updating to SP2?

 

I alwas do ,I wonder if this maks any diffrence.

I updated to XP SP2 today and had no trouble.

Later I went to the XP update page and there was

an update for Aladdin USB Sercurty Devices.

I installed it and my USB Mastercam Hasp quit

working.

I used the link on the eMastercam Patches Page to access Alladin Support and downlaoded the new XP command prompt driver installer. It was a pain to use, but fixed the problem.

Never ever install drivers from Windows Update.

 

Critical Updates? Definitely.

 

Recommended Updates? Yes, if they apply to you.

 

Drivers? Hells no! Get your drivers from the manufacturer of the hardware.

That's good to know, 'cause I noticed I had one for my video card, but nothing on the website, so I held back downloading.

The video drivers from the windows update will mess your video up.

They are old.
