Using SIM on laptop with no parallel port

Does anyone know of a way to use a SIM key on laptop with no parallel port? We want to be able to run Mastercam on our new laptop, but it does not have a parallel port, only serial and USB.

I currently have a USB sim on my machine from MC. I was offered it when the new sims were required. Contact your reseller and ask him/her about a swap.

There are USB-to-parallel converters but the majority are crap. The only reliable way to get a parallel port into a notebook that doesn't have a built-in parallel port is to use a PCMCIA card like this one. While these work, they tend to be pricey. Parallel and serial communications are very simple technology by today's standards, but they're quite outdated and thus, quite expensive.

 

Save yourself a bunch of headaches and talk to your reseller about exchanging your parallel HASP for a USB one.

the usb hasp is great,easy to take anywhere.if you have to, just add usb to card to the old comp.
