T/C Planes - Making Changes in Ops

I have an existing program that I have edited to reflect our change in set-up. Because of this change, I had to change my Tool Plane. (i.e. I've gone from using View #12 to #15.)

Now, I go into each operation affected by the new Tplane and change the T and Cplanes. Sometimes there are over 30 ops in a group. I want to know if there is a quick way to change all of the ops without having to go into each one -- in the same manner as changing the NCI file.

Thanks in advance!

Well you might try WCS to do this or edit common operation but find i buggy at best with this method. Bets way is to do it like you do as I have found. I wish there were and easy way like the workoffset, change tool number method but there is not one I have found open to see what other sya but not any I have seen be very good at it. Rekd what about you what have you found?

You have the option of editing common parameters in your operation manager... Right click/ Options/ Edit Common Parameters.

IMO, you're safer doing them 1 @ a time no matter how many ops. you have... In a few instances I had over a couple of hundred ops. to edit like that.

I'm sure this is something that could be made a lot easier via a macro or some other automated function that can find ops that share the old Tplanes and convert them to the newly desired Tplane. It's a tedious task banghead.gif that takes away from my forum reading time biggrin.gif
