MACROS PROG.

Is there anyone out there that can help me with macros I am wanting to add some programs to the machine so that it will make the programming easier at the machine. This will give the operator more control. We are running a HAAS VF-5 FANUC controller. I know the HAAS manual has macros in it but it's all GREEK to me please help.

Well I am trying to do an inside circular hole with a controlled step down same with outside circular, inside rectangular and outside rectangular. I know it can be done, our older OKK mill will do it but the macros on this machine will not transfer to the HAAS.

Haas has its own macros. Did you try the conversational side that will do basic machning on the Haas?

YES if your talking about the quick codes yes you have to stack them and that just takes to long.

Could you post the OKK macro on the FTP site? It would make it very easy to create what you need.

I work with Jeff at YAT and what we are wanting is more controlat the machine. Yes the Haas has macros , but for a deep hole cycle, creating the program by looping can be a long process. Is there any way to "modify" the existing macros?
