Mouse issue in X

Every time I exit a function my mouse seems to left click itself and I get a rectangle on my screen, need to left click to get out of the selection function.

 

Is this a bug or some switch I need to turn off?

What if I *want* to use preselection? The selection window is still popping up when it shouldn't be!

If you have pre-selection turned on the system always responds to a click on the screen as if you are going to select something. This always happens when no function is currently active.

 

I worked with SW a little and they do the same thing... sort of... I have an idea on what will make this work better, i'll have to check with the Software Developers to see what's possible.

If you leave the entity selector to chain instead of window this doesn't happen.

Your getting a window because you clicked on the screen. You cant use "clicking on the screen" as a way to exit a dialog box (as you did in V9). Esc or Enter or the green check box exits a dialog.

 

Pre-selecting is Wonderful.

Nope, I did not click on the screen, this was happening if I hit a green check at the end of a function or a red x to exit a function. It self clicks if I have the preselection radio button checked. No problems with preselection off.

Can you give an example of a function that does this? I know it's happened to me also, but I can't remember what I was doing and the few things I've tried didn't work.

I don't believe I've ever been able to exit a dialog box just by clicking on the screen.

If I opened the planes function for example then closed it by selecting top, I would be in selection mode and be drawing a rectangle on the screen. I would have to click on the screen once to exit the selection function.

The self window select thing was happening to me the first couple of days. I have found that I have to slow down for a lot of things to let the MasterCam keep up with the mouse and clicks, even worse than in MC9.
