Number of decimal places when interrogating a point

Is there a way to set the number of decimal places when you use the buttons (clearance, top of stock, depth, etc) to interrogate a point? I really don't need 6 places. 4 would be fine and 3 would fit 90% of my applications.

If you're doing a pocket, for example. When you're on the pocketing parameters page and need to fill in your clearance, depth, top of stock, ect, if you click the word Clearance, Depth, etc, you get sent back to the graphics view. What ever you click on, MC will interrogate (or analyze) it's Z depth and put it in the field for you. When I click on something, I get 6 decimal places when I really only need 4. I was hoping to be able to set the number of decimal places that it would input.

i don't like that either, and i don't know of a way to control it. sometimes i edit the number.

I would guess it has to do with the way the geo was

created originally and then imported in to MC.

My toolpath tolerance is .0005. All of my tolerances are default settings.

maybe hardmill is right. That could be the measurement and thats that.

 

I would have thought the settings would let you round up tho'

Typically, I start by plucking out all the feathers.

I Sent that into QC with screen shots and

we went back and forth without an answer.

Usually then, the issue gets dumped on Chris Bells 10ft. high pile of

"This is for you I can't figure it out either"

and it died there

 

Am I pretty close?
