Yeah, the machine tool manufactures need to catch up too....I still want a machine that requires no set up and simply has a "make my part now" button... cheers.gif

History driven cad-cam has a lot of issues too .

I used Cimatron -it has history for everything ,not only solid and you can unwind literally anything (in theory )

In real life you get monstrous file and lot of issues especially if you have assemblies ,references and not standart situations .

I prefer simple ,but mighty cad program for MC and design part of mastercam suites me well .

I made molds with it ,even without Moldplus .

It can do lot more thing s that you imagine .

Look on my dirty tricks thread for some examples

of it`s might

Maybe if they made a product that

A. didnt cost a ton of money

B. Didnt crash relatively often

C. worked how it was supposed.

D. Came out on time.

E just overall caused less headaches.

People would be a bit happier smile.gif

kinda reminds me of how motorola said my v710 phone was supposed to have all this bluetooth stuff, but in reality it wasnt there....long story short, a class action lawsuit fixed the problem. I'm not suggesting that, but its a good analogy

andrew

ps. any update with the surfaces jumping levels, and going haywire on the color issue of them?, or the random verify crash?

edit: a seat of mastercam locked up during the posting of this response firebounce.gif

Andrew, ( any relation to Al?) Are you making money with it? If not, why have you stayed? Not a good business venture. You can leave anytime and I don't believe it will bother anyone. You are a total @ss and maybe you should move on. See ya! 21 years old and knows it all.

A. Price Competitors

B. MR2 is more stable than 9

C. Haven't seen any commitments that haven't been fullfilled

D. May have been late, but works.

E. Refering to A. Try competitors. See advial industrial.

I get so tired of ignorant people who don't want to spend the time to learn something new calling it crap. I don't deny X has issues, but I would never go back to ver9. And neither would anyone who has put any effort into learning it.
