Crashing while saving file

I have a couple files no matter what I do they crash in X2 MR2 every time I try to save them. Luckily it manages to save the file before it crashes but it is real annoying to have to restart X2 every time. Some times I see it saying "Saving NCI File" before it crashes. Has any one else had this problem? I am running MR2 and have Net 2.0 installed.

Are you using spaces or odd characters in the filename?

That tends to crash V9 not sure about X2

Try disabling "include bitmap in file when saving" this is in the "System configuration" under "file"

I sent the file in and it won't crash for them.

but evertime I save it X2 crashes. So maybe it is somthing on my box.

Are you using the Mastercam "File Open" dialog box? If so, you might want to try using the standard windows dialog box. I've had problems in the past (V9) with opening/saving files using Mastercams dialog box. To change it, go to control panel and and click on the Mastercam X icon (might be called X2 now). While you're in there disable the splash screen, this will make Mastercam boot a little quicker.
