graphite dust collection

Beleive it or not, we use a shop vac as a dust collector when we cut graphite. They wear out about once a year but thats a pretty cheap alternative to a Torit system. We have a Torit but it needs a filter and they are crazy expensive. At least they were the last time I checked. The boss is tired of buying shop vacs though. I'd like to know what you guys are using.

Oh man that must be tougher than it should be.

I wonder if the machine sale company has a micro dust collector. It may be on the web. We have heavy duty dust collectors for the surface grinders along with the CNC MIkron. (We used to grind all our electrodes).

You must not cut much graphite if you use a vacuum.

Look at the MDS sheet on graphite. It's not safe after many yrs. of exposure.

just an advertisement is all that was, glad it looks like someone took down the post, if your able you should edit your quote and remove that link to not let them advertise or share links here. if you want to that is, i accidently quoted a spammer the other day and went back and removed their links once i realized someone else already removed their entire post.
