G98 & G99 drilling

for some reason I'm unable to feel confident in setting up of my drilling cycles. If I have different depths, jumping clamps with different retract heights etc. I'm always double checking my code and watching the machine with my hand on the switch because I'm not quite sure of myself. Is there some where that I can look at examples of code and or MC drilling set-up for different situations? What I need is an idiots cuckoo.gif guide to drilling.

I'd get that taken care of first

Then only time I'm not sure of my post is when I'm doing something out of the ordinary. Like rectracting over an obstacle then starting at different top of stock, things like that. When my code isn't correct sometimes, I'm not sure if its a post issue or if its the way I programmer the operation in MC.

Oppiz, I went through the same problem a couple weeks ago - If you DO NOT select the retract only at beginnig and end of operation. Then it should post as a G98 (depends on post) this will let you select the feed plane to the top of your hole and retract to your clearance from hole to hole. when its done drilling from the feed plane it will go to the retract position and move to the next hole. Gotta thank JPARIS for that one.
