Official Mastercam X3 Release

We have just released Mastercam X3. This release addresses a number of issues that have been reported in previous Mastercam releases. Please view the “What's New in Mastercam X3.pdf” file for detailed information on the enhancements. The "What's New in Mastercam X3.pdf" file can be found in the documentation folder of your X3 installation. The Mastercam.exe version number is 12.0.4.20.

 

To download X3, please click the following link: http://www.mastercam.com/Support/Downloads...X3/Default.aspx. Next, logon and download "mastercamx3-web.exe." Once you have downloaded the *.exe file, double-click it to begin the installation. Please be patient with the download, it is a large (Approximately 595MB) installation that will take some time to complete. X3 will be able to run on the same system as Mastercam versions X through X2-MR2. Please remember that current maintenance is required to run X3 (06-30-08 or later).

 

Also available on Mastercam.com are the X3 Mastercam Direct Converters, Catia Translator, Sample Files, Videos, and most recent version of InventorView.

 

If you downloaded the pre-release version of X3, there is no need to download this, as it is the same exact version.

X3 is a new version, free upgrade to those with current maint.

Just talked to my IT guy today. I'm going to stick my toe in the X3 waters on Monday, hopefully. I got burnt too many other times with buggy releases, but so far the feedback seems mainly positive, and I am greatly looking forward to verify being fixed, finally.

How do re-sellers like handing out demo disks to people without licenses... or enough money to buy it?

 

It'll probably be months before work upgrades... lame.

Is it upgrate pre-release or I have to uninstall pre-release and install official release as fresh ?

The pre-release was the actual release program, just pre-released here. It is now officially released, so if you installed the pre-release there is no need to install again
