Verisurf Screen shot

Is this working for anyone?

It all works here except the Screen shot which would be real handy.

I haven't tried the Verisurf screenshot so I don't know if it works or not.

There is a Mastercam screnshot that I know works.

Screen/Copy Image to Clipboard...

You can Window or hit escape and capture the whole graphics area..

Then open Paint/right click and paste..

gcode I just hit the Print screen key on the keyboard open paint and Ctrl V.

 

The Verisurf chook would just save a couple of clicks

I just tried the Verisuf Screenshot.

It worked perfectly..

As soon as I clicked it, Paint opened

with a screenshot of my graphics area..

on a white background... cool

It should automatically capture the graphics screen and open up in Paint with white background.

 

Did you try the Hidden line yet? Works good for surface models, or multiple solids.

Ernie all the chooks in the new Verisurf drop down menu work here just not "Screen Shot" any suggestions?

This doesn't solve your problem with Verisurf, but if you have AI Utility installed, there is a screen shot option there that will give you a white screen also.

What folder is your Paint located in?

 

This is where it should be.

C:WINDOWSSystem32mspaint.exe

That's odd.

 

Check your System Properties, Enviroment Veriables and make sure that your Path varible has %SystemRoot%system32 in it.

Eric,

 

It's mainly for showing and capturing a hidden line display on surface models.

 

 

BTW, It only works well when you have a solid background color.

something else to consider:

In Mastercam: Settings, Files, "Temporary files root".

What is set for that folder, and is that folder writable?

 

The screenshot is placed in the mastercam temporary files folder, with the same name as the file but with extension png. If this can't be created, paint won't be opened either.

Hmmmm.

Can you look in temp folder to see if there are any PNG files.

 

Does it work with a New file? just sketch some geomerty to test.

what application is associated with

file type "png"

I'm wondering if you ever installed some software

that took that file extension away from Paint??

 

On my system "png" is associated with

Office Picture Manager.. but Ernie's chook works fine

David, I don't think it has anything to do with the file extension or with mspaint.

 

If the file is 0, it means that one of verisurf's dll's couldn't load. If you open the "Verisurf settings (general)", the last entry in verisurf's menu, do you get a warning message?

If not, can you turn on the Verisurf Watermark in the preferences?

 

If it gives a warning, then you need to check the path to the chooks in Mastercam Settings: Files, "Custom Add-in (DLL)", make sure it is set to C:MCAMX3CHOOKS and not to C:MCAMXCHOOKS
