If you go

 

File >> New

 

Draw a rectangle 4" x 4", select the geometry >> transform >> join, by 1.0" to create a 3D 4" x 4" x 1" 3D wireframe block

 

Create Bounding box, Expand values should be 0,0,0,

 

Now his the dynamite to blow up the machine def and let it reload, not click on Create Bounding box.

 

Are your values 0,0,0, or something else?

I get various values.

 

Clean start, new file I get 0,0,0 but after that I get stuff like this

 

 

I have a couple of customers that get the same, I can recreate the issue but few others, including QC can.

 

I placed a wmv file int eh unspecified folder on the FTP

when i do it the same as your video i get .1 as values in x and y when i did it before i went through the machine properties , stock setup ,bounding box and the values were 0,0,0 now that i did it thru the menu, machine stock, setup i get .1 values in x and y

does it lock in these values (default) somehow?

ok i closed mc and reopened it did bounding box thru menu values were 0,0,0 ,thru machine stock setup, values 0,0,0 as soon as i clicked ok for bounding box i always get .1 as a value now in x and y

even after explode

Getting the same here John, first time 0,0,0

then seems to default to last used input. not 0,0,0.

Also,seems the more you use it the stranger the result.

You guys that CAN recreate this. Please send it in to QC.

 

They can not recreate it but other people are seeing so it does need to be looked into further.

Go to Stock Set-up, Bounding box, select OK, check the XYZ values. Then go back into Bounding box, and look... The values are different. The values seem to cycle thru whatever is in the drop-down for that dialogue box.

I´ve seen this happend in X3 also but the problem doesnt stop there, my other default settings seem to change also without no reason. I haven´t send this problem to cnc software yet because I have no clue why it happends.

Talked this through with reseller this morning.

His worked ok and had no trouble because he had never expanded a box, as soon as he expanded one on trying to repeat had the same- defaulted to last used setting. He is reporting as issue.Therefore if you have never expanded it will function ok.

I'm having problems with also. I used the expand

boxes to compensate for grind stock and it

stuck.Have you resolved this?

Having the same problem here. Once any values other than 0,0,0 are entered those values will randomly come up each time I use the bounding box. Started with X3 and continues in X3MU1. Any resolution to this yet?

We have the same problem with the numbers changing on all of our class room computers including my newest one.
