How many time do u have to restart Mastercam

Since X4 I've noticed the about of time I need to restart Mastercam has increased. Seems like Mastercam is getting more unstable? Anyone else feel the same?

WOW! Not what I was expecting to hear. Even when you bring in a new model, save it and start copying features to a different level it works? Cuz it does not for me.

Only thing tat really seems to cause a crashing issue for me is using dynamic transform. Other than that, its solid.

works good on a few of my box's and I am running Beta on top of it.

Once I put the config/tools/memory buffer to 95%

it doesn't lock up or freeze any more on files

over 180 meg in size

Most of the time I import models. I move stuff, copy stuff all the time with no issues.

 

Are you running the latest graphics drivers?

IMO, sounds like a conflict with other software to me or the machine may just be constipated. Try CCleaner to get the gunk out. The comp your running it on seems more than adequate enough. I would try a fresh install, OS with service packs included, on a separate hard drive, then test MC. Do not migrate anything. Don't install any other software other than what you absolutely need. Find some large files on the FTP and run em thru MC and make some changes. Step over, tolerance, stock to leave and such. See what takes place. If stable, install the other apps 1 at a time and see what happens.

Ditto here. Sometimes I have other issues...like earlier today I was trying to project a line onto a solid...kept telling me there was no intersection found. I saved the file & restarted mastercam...and without changing anything(view, WCS, ect) the line projected just fine.

Tip Comp for drilling makes it crash often for me. I am actually scared to check it. I always make sure I save my files before clicking it. It happens more often after I copy an operation and reuse it.
