You cannot currently have more than one row of buttons. You may however change their order, remove functions etc... in screen configure Toolbars/keys Tab.

Forgot... in screen configure, is where you customize Mastercam.

This is why newcomers like Windows and "oldtimers" like hotkeys.

Hope V10 will give us both. I know it is very hard for CNC. It needs a lot of work. SmartCam, SurfCam and...will close their doors if MasterCam can do it.

I think this has been discussed before, the MC interface thing, and when it will be a real Windows interface. Please don't get me wrong here I'm NOT being negative, Just voicing some thoughts. Windows has been around for a long time, Why can't the best, most useable cam system on the face of the planet be a windows program??? Lots of other systems are. The british motorcycle industry ignored the Japaneese "little" bikes and got Buried by them.

I'm no computer guru but I have to think some of the vid card issues have to do with this same interface thing don't they?

What are the plans at CNC for the future of the interface? I for one have to agree that MC could certainly gain an even larger market share by making the change cheers.gif

Jovato,

I used MS-Paint to edit a bitmap that i found on internet and changed size to .33 x .33,renamed to Delete.BMP and copied over to CommonIcons.

Unfortunately, I don't have a clue on including results here on forum. Kevin, would you explain this one?.

According to some, the shrinkage is not necessary but i am concerned about how bigger file size might affect MC memory allocations.

JOVATO8, Hi!

Navigate to the /common/icons folder under your MCam installation. Rename (as back-up)any .bmp files that you'd like to replace. IE: Re-name ZOOM.bmp to ZOOM_BAK.bmp.

Choose an image that is close to square in proportions.(1x1 aspect ratio). The button is square, right!

Use your favorite image editor, Photoshop, PaintShop.. and RESIZE your image to 32x 32 pixels square. Rename the resized image to reflect the name of the button face that your replacing. IE: ZOOM.bmp.. Save it down to the /ICONS folder.

rinse, repeat!

Dat's it, enjoy.
