Dynamic Milling With Bullnose Endmill

Anyone using dynamic milling with bullnose endmills in aluminum. The job I am doing would require a 1/2 inch endmill with .125 corner radius. If so what brand would you guys suggest.

The haul arse kind. I would get a 45 deg 3 flute polished flute. Should be able to run it like a regular tool maybe kick it down 5% to start then ramp up your step over from 25%. Probably 42k and 1250 imp would be where I would start if I had the machine to push it.

I'd recommend Helical tools.

Lately I have been running the SGS S-Carb's with very good luck.

 

They are competitively priced and work very well.

SGS SKI-CARB.

 

We have a job that runs a 3/4 dia 1.5 flute skicarb. It slots full width, 1.42 deep, 15000rpm and 250ipm. The actual ipm does'nt quite reach 250 because of the G05.1. SGS skicarb are the only tools that can handle that cut. We have tried OSG blizzard, Helical, Garr, And several others. They only last hlaf of the cut time or less as the Ski-carb.
