axis substitution issue

Hi,

I'm trying to engrave letters using axis substitution , but the letters came out to be back words. I can see the part doing correct on verify but not on actual part.

seems like it's a post or machine def. issue.

using the generic fadal format-1 4x mill which comes with mastercam.

Using x4mu3

any help will be appreciated.

imagine you are inside a big tube looking up, you will see the letters right.

I'm just playing with your "words"...I get it...I was born in a test tube and live in a mirror image world. biggrin.gif

I'd guess also that sign on A axis on post is reversed.

Watch the direction that it rolls to engrave, note the sign (+ or -) then go confirn the A axis on machine rolls + the same direction.

If its wrong...look for this line in post and change 0 to 1 or 1 to 0.

rot_ccw_pos : 1 #Axis signed dir, 0 = CW positive, 1 = CCW positive ## ROTARY DIRECTION HERE##

Hi Jay, I'm at JPL. I talked to you before. Thanks all. The problem was in cw/ccw in control def. ,

I changed it before but somehow it didn't work. I must of done something wrong the first time. now works correctly. Unfortunately I don't get any help from my reseller. I'm trying my best to keep our mastercam maintenance updated every year. but, If my boss see we don't get support he will ask me to move to a different software. we have five different softwear, but I like Mastercam. Thaks again from all of you guys, been a great help for me.

There must be something wrong here. I can assure you JPL is completely happy with our support and service, and so is your boss. Please contact me with your concerns, and I will address each one of them.
