hot key for TRIM 1 and TRIM 2 entities?

Is this possible? I would want to have them be independent of each other

once trim is launched, the keys "1","2" and "d"

cycle betweeen the trim functions... but Trim

launches in its last condition..so you'd probably have to write macros to force a launch

in trim 1 or 2.. then launch the macros with hotkeys..

ONLY if your config is set to do so.

 

My config isn't, so here's what I do. Click the Trim/Break/Extend icon and it will default to trim one. If that's what you want to do, click the first entity and then click the second entity. If you want to trim two, leave it in the trim one mode, but click the first entity, then DOUBLE CLICK the second entity and it will trim them both.

I don't see this option in the config.....

I curse myself out like 10 times a day when I hit my "trim hotkey", I click an entity and it dissappears (left it in divide mode)...

Shazam, No, we are talking about what mode trim/break extend opens up in.

Right now when I hit the hotkey, it comes up in the mode I last used it. I would like it to ALWAYS open up in "trim 1" mode, regardless of what "mode" it was in last time I used it.

Shazam is correct if you turn off ribbon bar modality you will get what you want.

Hey, it works!

I thought unchecking that would keep my ribbon bar "docked", but it doesn't!

Although it does effect all functions where the ribbon bar gets used... i.e. create line parallel defaults back to a distance of 0.0

Can't have it all, but my ESC key thanks you! :oldforumcheers:
