Makino Post

I am working on a post for a Makino A51 that is coming here and was wondering how you guys with makinos post out your offsets. Do you omit the G43 H call out completely since it is pulled from the fanuc side during the tool change macro? Also, do I eliminate the D call out as well? Some posted code would be extremely helpful. The machine is set up using H1 D2 for all tools. Thanks for your help.

we just change the each tool offset to h1 d2 it post that out, and everything is fine.

G43 H1 D2 is what we use.

H1 D2 is hard coded into the post so no matter what the tool is set at in mc it will post out correctly.

Sounds exactly what we would like to do. How did you go about doing this? My post mod experience is kinda limited.

Lets try this, go to a postblock called: ptlchg_com

 

Look for this line:

pbld, n$, "G43", *tlngno$, pfzout, scoolant, next_tool$, e$

 

change *tlngno$ to "H1 D2"

ptlchg0$

Using M56 H1 D9 on our A55's, it was any easy post mod
