Graphic problems

Hi!

I'm got a new computer and experience some problems with surfaces... When I import or create a model with surfaces and there are some holes in the surface, then as soon as I place the cursor over this surface to select it, it's like it's changing to slow motion and takes much longer time to select the surface... And when I work with parts with alot of holes, it's a nightmare... All surfaces without holes doesn't have any problems... As far as I can see all my settings are the same on old computer, so I wonder what it can be...

I'm still running X4 MU3 and I've got a Intel i5 4x3.33GHz, 4GB RAM and a NVIDIA Quadro FX 570...

Any ideas what can be the reason?

Thanks in advance for any help!

Newest version is not always the certified / tested version

Pre win7, advice was to go to this site for Nividia Partner Certified Drivers

It references a driver for Win7/Vista 64 as driver version 191.87

this is the web page for the driver search

but Guffe's example shows a release 259.81 is available for download

Which of these drivers should be chosen ????

Well I run the 191.87 on my Windows 7 64 Bit with FX1800 card with on problem. I do see a 259.81 driver for this system. I might try updating the drive since I have the old 191.87 still for reload if I need. Windows 7 is a little different you can uninstall the Video driver, but it then tries to decide what is the best driver so might be a little fight getting it to allow the new driver. The old adage if is not broke don't fix it comes to mind. If I try it I will keep you guys posted.

Are the holes SUPPOSED to be there? Did you try analyze surface? I've seen surfaces come in on customer models with holes that are a result of some weird trimming during the import process. Usually untrim and retrim will fix it

I have made a single surface and just created a hole in it, and it's still a problem... I'll try to check with the other version of driver and see if it will make any difference...

Thanks for the help so far!
