wcs question

I liketo have all my wcs's in order. sometimes I have to rotate a wcs and it makes s new one. I would like to place back in the order of operations but mastercam will not let me. how can you move the wcs's around?

If you have it associated to geometry you rotate the geo and it moves without creating a new one.

I just do the dynamic wcs. it is not associated to geo. There is no way to reorganize the wcs's at all?

Do you mean just re-ordering them in the view manager?

Sorry, but as far as I know, there is no way to change the order in the WCS Manager. I do it as Hardmill suggested, and have the associated to geometry. If I want to rotate the WCS, I use Dynamic Xform on the geometry as needed. Keeps my WCS Manager nice and orderly.

In your view manager you can also select a new location for a givin WCS also,

"origin" (in view coordinates)

I think he means the order they are listed in the view manager. There is a way, but it is kind of a PITA. Just make copies of the WCS that you want to move down the list and then delete the original. You can manipulate the order they are in that way.

I can go back tho linking it to geometry.I like the new dynamic wcs. I just want the view manager tho be in order of operation.

AFAIK, there is no way to re-order the list in the WCS manager.

 

It would be nice, but not critical. Send it into QC as a suggestion.

Many times I wanted to rearrange the WCS's I had. Would be nice for sure.
