Verisurf for X6

Does anyone know if there is a release in the near future? Or is the X5 version compatible, I am assuming it is not, especially since Ii will be using the 64-bit version of X6. We use this tool extensively, It is awesome in so many ways.

Well installed and testing Verisurf on 32 bit. Will be a little while before Verisurf 64 bit will hit the shelves.

Well we are going to have the 32 bit for download soon. 64 bit will be some time as John said. We got the final SDK on the 28th and making a 64 bit version is some work. We appreciate everyone enjoying our free products, and as soon as we have something we will post up our free tools again.

Hi Ron, do you think if you were to start charging a small fee for these tools we might see a 64 bit version quicker as you could justify some staff time to it. I myself find the hole axis and pierce point tools a huge help with the 5 axis work I do and would be happy to make an investment in the product.

MrFish we have talked about that but what is a small fee to some is murder to others. We know people need and use it and we will get er done as soon as we can.

Just converted to X6....didn't realize I was screwing myself on the Verisurf tools...Use hole axis everyday. How's it comming on the X6 version? I see it's been in the works since November.

I was really missing pierce point yesterday... had to save all my geometry out to a file

save it back to X5 on an x32 machine... do all my pierce point stuff in X5 , then import it back into my

X6 x64 file... did I say I was REALLY missing pierce point

Can X6 be installed in addition to X5 so that one can use either program? We did that with V9 and X2 when we had a user that refused to leave V9. I keep putting off installing X6 and losing Verisurf is one of the reasons.

Quick question. Do they have Vericut for X5Mu1 in 64 bit?

Mastercam for X5 is not 64bit so no.

X5 is an x32 program and the existing X5 MC to VC interface runs fine, even on an x64 machine.
